Basicly, changelings looks like ponies, so what if originally they were ponies? What if they feed on other creatures love, because as love and friendship is the biggest magical power in the world of Equestria, it was taken away from them, so they can't use magic for, maybe evil?

I know, it's crazy (and silly), but I kinda like to think about stuff like that.

Also, in this pic Faust's OC was choosen for to be, let's say punisher (probably not the right word), because I always thought of her OC to be the ultimate goddess of the world.

And for last, the queen not necesserly Crysalis, it can be simply the first queen of the changelings."

My headcanon is exactly the opposite: every intelligent being is descended from changelings. My theory is that they were once at the level of modern humans, but ended up back at square one after a nuclear holocaust. Groups of survivors took on various forms depending on location to help stay alive, and eventually would take a form early in life and rarely change. After a few generations, they had forgotten how to shapeshift, and a few generations after that they lost the ability.
