My favorite Star Trek show is Voyager, but Picard is my favorite captain by far. Janeway is a close second.

Original Series may be the best Star Trek series, but I'm going to have to vote for Picard over Kirk.

Kirk would've been drooling like a perverted idiot and Janeway might've been as well :p

Nah, Janeway's reaction was more of:
outwards: raise eyebrow, order coffee (black), invite 7-of-9 for a chat, try to make her feel like a first-grader in the principal's office.
inwards: "damn fuck you half-electronic bitch and your firm titties - you just came here to rob me of my one true love who happens to me my subordinate".

And about Sisko and Archer... who cares? Sisko was too busy trying to understand why he was the only protagonist of a ST series who didn't have a ship, and Archer was already busy caring for his dog.

Gotta go with Picard on this one.

He had a commanding presence, and other captains fell in line when he stated he was in command.

First Contact was great: "This is Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the enterprise. I am taking command of the fleet. "

Dude was acting against standing orders even being there, and the fleet backed him.
Venicilian: wow. Jesus hung around with everyone. boys, girls, rich, poor(mostly), sick, healthy, etc. in fact, i bet he even went up to gay people and tried to heal them so they would be straight.
The Parkus Empire: Being serious on NSG is like wearing a suit to a nude beach.
New Kereptica: Since power is changed energy over time, an increase in power would mean, in this case, an increase in energy. As energy is equivalent to mass and the density of the government is static, the volume of the government must increase.

I loved that part... So true, I think if Picard wanted, he could have formed Terra Empire in prime universe... Back to the question, I am drawn between Picard and Janeway.

You know what I never understood?

He introduces man to the Borg, so the federation won't be caught flat footed and could, conceivably, hold them back.

He has the power to obliterate the Borg or throw them all in another galaxy. Why didn't he?

Exactly, she is not afraid to flex some federation muscle. Bit I like that she did it for her crew, Kirk did it for himself and most of the time his crew second. Though he is still better than Sisko. I never really liked him or DS9 whole prophet storyline.
Headcanon: No prophets, ever.

The Dominion won.

Btw, Voyager could've been so awesome if they'd kept restored-Seska on board as Officer for Doing Nasty Shit to Janeway's Obstacles, complete with the hilarious friction she'd get with the Marquis members.

Sadly, 2edgy4Voyager :<

He's already altered the course of such a bet by introducing them.
