She was boring, bland, and a lot of the time whiny despite being the designated future God character. Fuck that shit.
Seska OTOH, was wasted - she'd have been such an awesome protagonist-villain.

They mas as well have changed the branding & names of everything and presented it as it's own franchise.
Its alternate universe, like mirror universe. Characters are different in mirror universe and so is history, however it is still part of Star Trek franchise.

That was sort of her entire role really. To wear a body-hugging catsuit and scissor her legs whenever the camera had a good enough angle. They only came up with the plot later most likely.Olthar wrote:So, am I the only one who finds Seven of Nine to be kind of...meh? Sure, her tits are alright, but she's not the best woman out there. They mas as well have changed the branding & names of everything and presented it as it's own franchise. You wouldn't have noticed that it was intended to be Star Trek.

Honestly if Mulgrew would have just aquiested and given into the lesbian relationship that was hinted at pretty heavily it would have made the show more watchable. Certainly would have distracted from the overwhelming desire I had to strangle Paris and punch Torres at the same time.

If Trek had lesbians, I'd watch it so much.

That's because she didn't beat Paris and Torres with the chain of command when they deserved it many times over.Wisconsin9 wrote:Picard. And Janeway was a terrible captain.

Seriously, if Torres and Paris would have given me the lip they gave Janeway I'd have slung both of them into the brig and forgotten about their meals for a few days. No way to get home and aggressive aliens means that lessons need to be rather simple and to the point. Plus my fist isn't made of badassium unlike the Sisko, who probably would have punched one out and looked at the other to gain compliance

No, she was a terrible captain because she got her crew stranded 70,000 light-years from Earth when there were plenty of alternatives, and the vast series of absolutely horrendous decisions she made during the journey. And for God's sake, she allied herself with the fucking Borg! She could've gone to Species 8472, offered them help or explained the situation to them and gotten them to leave the rest of the galaxy alone, but no, she had to help the single most dangerous species in the recorded history of the galaxy!

And yes, 8472, that was the single dumbest thing Janeway did. Here you have a species that is pissed at the Borg and can wipe them out, and you go and HELP THE GODDAMN BORG?!
Of course then they might not have been able to access the transwarp hub...

Considering I gave up on Voyager and have only caught sporadic episodes... y'know cause the cast was mostly boring or shit, why shouldn't she have had to? Aside from the moment they got flung to the delta quadrant in the first place obviously.Wisconsin9 wrote:Northern Dominus wrote:...and she didn't beat Paris and Torres with the chain of command when they deserved it.
