The UNSC and Covenant use weapons in the megatons, not the gigatons. The only greater weapon the UNSC has is the NOVA Bomb, which is insanely expensive to use and they could never get it past the defenses.

The main turbolaser batteries on Clone Wars and later ships dish out over 200 Gigatons of energy per shot. Planetary shields meanwhile are so strong that they can withstand this for so long that fleets don't even consider bombardment as a strategy when the enemy has a planetary shield.

Imperial ships would be shredding Covenant and UNSC ships with several shots, especially UNSC ones which would be brought down hilariously easily. MAC cannons are unlikely to be exceptionally dangerous for Star Wars Capital Ships.

The NOVA is in the Perraton's a Hundred if not thousands times greater magnitude than anything SE Has and can field easily.
The MAC shot from a SMAC is 3,000 Ton's fired at .14 of light speed and will hit with Gigaton's easily. They spam nukes in the 100 megaton range like NS Does.
