Not even close.

The Flood is a parasite, not a super human. The Flood is more than 4000 years old. The Flood is not summoned, it arrives when it wants to.

The Flood is in no way even close to Krodin, at least from what wikipedia says.

One, wiki.is wrong. two he wasnt exactly summoned. three he is over 4000 years old. four they are super parasites, so worse in a way(I just finished the series)

Well this this is the Tier system... GE seems to sit at Tier 2.

Then again, I don't everything about the GE from the EU...

They meet every requirement for a Tier 1 civilization except the creation of worlds, and even that depends on what you consider the Death Stars to be.

Death Stars are ships, plane and simple. The.definition of planet is as follows. "a cellestial body following an elliptical orbit around a star."

That's fine. I knew about the FTL... and I missed the A.I. part.

Well time to go watch the original trilogy again...

The Death Stars were as large as fucking moons. I'm sorry, I'm so very, very, sorry, but the Death Stars were not just fucking ships.

I've read like three. The Darth Bane trilogy.

I also read a lot of the series that revolved around Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon Jin before the events of Episode 1, but I can't recall what that series was. It wasn't overly important to canon though.

Can FTL travel through solid objects? Also, refering back to the Krodin/ Flood correlation, time travel is needed to even hope to beat them.

Ancient Humanity would like to talk to you.

Any civilization that actually makes the Flood retreat can call that a victory. A victory for a victim of a Flood invasion is survival. The Flood loses if it doesn't assimilate, because that's it's only goal.

The floods only goal as previously stated is to have the capabilities to assimilate by feeding and reproduction, the ultimate goals of all creatures according to scientists(I do not agree here)

No, it can't. Can slipspace cross half the galaxy in a day?

To question one. Yes but it would be beyond dangerous. To statement two, the flood were still capable of both.

A Death Star is not a "ship" in the same way that a planet is not an "asteroid". Sure it may be artificial and have FTL, but Halos have glowy lights and visible metal framework too. Hundreds of thousands staffed the Death Stars. THe Death Stars had poles, equators, trenches, cavernous depths (like caves), and had a population. If they put a super laser on a planet, replaced the core with a reactor, and stuck my pontiac's V6 engine into the damn thing to wheel it around the galaxy would it still be a planet, or a ship?
The Death Star can move around a star if it wants. ANY star it wants, really. Saying a planet is something that moves around a star then saying the Death Star isn't one when it CAN do those things is ludicrous.

As for the tier system, remember that Forerunners are goiong to be biased in their assertions. They mythicized the precursors, who lost the war with the forerunners, who were inferior to them technologically. If the precursors, who are widely considered to be superior in every way and were "transcendent" according to the tier, were killed off by Forerunners, what does that make the forerunners, who were then forced into suicide by the flood, who were in turn beat by humanity? The tier system is crude and rough. The whole "meet this requirement" is stupid if you consider that someone could do something equally impressive. It would be like saying you are not "industrialized" if you havent been to the moon. Certainly the Germans, Japanese, and English would HIGHLY disagree with that sentiment based on a simple two dimensional definition. The Death Star generated enough power to shatter alderaan, maintain shields to resist debris, keep artificail gravity, keep power on, etc. and then do it again later that same day. This is a staggerig amount of power. This easily matches anything a tier 1 civilization could do, even if instead of building a few incredible monuments the empire decides to destribute accomplishments.

No the flood could not simply overwhelm planetary shields. If anything, dual shields is easily possible. You wear out one, then there is another shield, and then the first regenerates. This is easily possilbe for a civilization that builds moon-sized battle stations in complete secrecy in a few months (DSII was 900 km in diameter, 60% built in 6 months, no one ever knew until palpatine leaked the info). THEN you have the infinite automated defenses that a massive industrial capacity gives you. The SW galaxy already dealt with infinite zerg swarms in the form of the clone wars, which follow exactly the same type of tactic. You invade, take over, corrupt the population, repeat. The ony difference is that instead of taking people, you convert the planets industrial facilities for droid production. Other than that, its almost exactly the same, other than the whole sci-fi fanbase reaction of "organic > machines!! wOOt life!!" .

Beyond dangerous, where in SW it's ridiculously easy. And yes, they were still capable of both. There were also barely any of them left. Nazi Germany was still capable of fighting in May of 1945, but they were still defeated. Just because an enemy can fight back without being completely destroyed, doesn't mean they haven't lost.

No I don't expect willpower to do that. But I do expect that it's not hard for the empire. Look at the shield at Endor. That covered the whole Death Star and required a building no bigger than a Walmart. Even the rebels, a rag tag revolution, bought one for Hoth. Startling power generation is easily feasible in Star Wars, with fusion generators being portable and abundant. As for resources, well lets just say the fact that they could build 2/3s of a Death Star in 6 months with no one noticing that much metal just vanishing is a testament to how much their capacity is. If anything, robot mining and world devastators could pick up the slack. And what, do you think the empire wouldn't just increase military spending? The flood would be to the emperor what Jews were to hitler (sorry godfreys law), except better as scapegoats because Jews don't bring the dead to life as mutated, unholy abominations and eat all life with the purpose of destroying the galaxy.

Seeing as Star Wars characters regularly walk around planets without NBC suits to protect from germs indicates that Star Wars people must have kickass Decon equipment, or something of the kind. Even the ewoks didn't get space-yellow fever from mingling with outsiders, which would happen in real life. However, there have been successful quarantines of intelligent parasites, and flood are not super dangerous at the proto-gravemind phase (halo 1). The only reason the gravemind formed is because penitent tangent went rampant and just quit his job at being the monitor (basically, or he is a bumbling idiot) and let the quarantine zone go.
