Okay, it's not as bad as the visual novel.

Key word is 'trigger'. The asshole who recommended it to me conveniently neglected to mention the, ah... 'circumstances' concerning Kotonoha later in the series.

Dude, no offense, but even people who haven't seen that show know what happens. Pretty much a "It Was His Sled" moment at this point in time.

It wasn't the 'Nice Boat' bit. It was her reaction preceding it. Namely the cellphone thing.

Watching the new short-length series; Sparrow's Hotel, Aiura, Cyclops Shoujo Saipuu and Tamako Market special, still haven't finished Mangirl, Yama no Susume, Ai Mai Mi from the winter season. Waiting for the subtitles of the final episode of Red Data Girl and the last episode of Suisei no Gargantia to be released.

They're definitely anime, I just think they cross a whole bunch of cultural borders that make it something more than that.

I should probably start a thread about what exactly anime is. The question has always interested me.

But maybe tomorrow.

There are a lot of anime that cross cultural borders and I'm pretty sure their most notable films are set in Japan complete with fully Japanese characters.

Then what do you mean that they cross cultural borders (of course they do for some of their films but not all)? YOUR cultural borders?

Not all themes are universal (or even noteworthy in the first place) and the way you express them often determines who will see the themes.

Mine, Britain's, France's, Bangladesh's, India's. Wherever the movie is beloved, I guess.

Depends on the culture, obviously.

But I'm sure the turmoil in a family or the suffering of war or the environment or puberty are pretty universal.

No, Old Man Zangetsu(He looks like a young Juha Bach) is the Quincy side of Ichigo, Hollow Ichigo is the shinigami side of Ichigo. That's why he has 2 swords now.

Ok then(I think 303 is filler). The arc I'm talking about happens after the time-skip, after The Fullbiring Arc.
The anime went on hiatus in Japan until Sep. Sorry for spoiling. :\

Well the arc in the manga right now is great actually, could be better than Soul Society by the end.

I can't remember the name I've been out of it for a few weeks. It was about a very effeminate looking boy who did Kabuki theater with his family. I had it downloaded on my phone from manga reader, but I can't seem to find it. I can't remember the last Anime I watched. It might of been me watching Bleach.

Railgun Season 2 looks pretty boring. I'll get back to it some time. Meanwhile, I finished A Certain Magical Index. The storyline is pretty good. Meanwhile watching Kimi no Iru Machi.

Question, in your opinion, is it okay for boys to read shoujo manga (and vice versa)?

Well, I just thought of it. If shoujo is intended (or targeted) for girls, wouldn't it be awkward for boys to read it? I don't really mind though, because whenever I read a manga I read it because I like it. I also do not know whether it is a shounen or a shoujo.
