Clannad is one of the best series I have ever seen. I watched it right after Kanon, and both shows still hold some of my favorite scenes, characters, and feel-good moments.

It is quite good, yes.

I occasionally watch Naruto, but I am indifferent about it.

Would I like Code Geass?

You'd probably like it even if you like Naruto or not.(But considering you don't futuristic war, maybe not)

From what I understand. HSOTD leaves no place for any serious emotions or reflection, not explicitly at least.

While it's certainly true that little room for serious emotional and philosophical reflection was left, my main point was that the answer HSotD offers about the proper response to dire circumstances is a common one when the authorities aren't either entirely ignored or made out to be villainous. For example, in the film version of World War Z the authorities were not only not villainous, but they were competent, trustworthy, and capable. They responded quickly, their efforts were limited primarily by a lack of resources, and those who did not contribute or comply were left on their own. Also, their efforts...

...ultimately culminated in the discovery of an effective method through which to prevent zombie attacks.

The "just go with the authorities, they know what they're doing" answer that HSotD offers isn't unique, it's just a rehash. Now, it's interesting to note the antidemocratic message in the form of the "election" held on the bus, but I may be reading too deeply.

Nanatsu no Tsuki wrote:I'm not trying to be antagonistic here but, in all honesty, what is it exactly about the Hetalia series that attracts people so? I watched a few episodes and didn't see the appeal. I found it annoying.

Have you seen Switzerland? He's gorgeous!

...

I'm not even kidding. That's the sort of answer you ought to expect from a significant portion of the series' fanbase.
