Yeah, but I haven't watched a series with too much moe yet so until then, I guess I'm okay with it.

Watch the OVA for the Higurashi series and you'll, perhaps, see what I mean about too much ''moe''.

Within two days, I finished Clannad. All of it: the original, After Story, the summary and the OVAs.

That was delicious.

Watched JesuOtaku's review of Highschool of the Dead recently. She's more or less where I am on the series: despite the insane abuse of jiggle physics and camera angles designed to focus on characters' naughty bits, despite the xeroxed plot scenarios, despite the same boring zombie apocalypse moral/social questions and answers being rehashed again, I somehow ended up liking it anyway.

It's probably mostly because Highschool of the Dead has managed to be hilariously bad rather than too bad to be watchable. The show is almost like a parody of oversexed anime, as if the point wasn't pandering to the lowest common denominator, but rather to make fun of it. Oh, you like jiggling boobs the size of deployed airbags? Here, let's safely fire a round between the jiggle waves at a target while we're at it. It's entirely possible to watch Highschool of the Dead as a caricature of ecchi, to conclude that the show is so bad that it's accidentally brilliant.

I'm not trying to be antagonistic here but, in all honesty, what is it exactly about the Hetalia series that attracts people so? I watched a few episodes and didn't see the appeal. I found it annoying.

I have no interest in watching HOTD but my question is what ever happened to JesuOtaku? I haven't seen anything of hers in over a year.

Just finished Code Geass and Code Geass R2; dialogue-driven alternate history plot with a bit of mecha-wrecking fun to spice it up a bit. To put it succinctly: if you like Naruto, you'll probably consider Geass boring. If you don't like Naruto for any reason, you should probably give Geass a shot.

Clannad is a good series.

Clannad is one of the best series I have ever seen. I watched it right after Kanon, and both shows still hold some of my favorite scenes, characters, and feel-good moments.

The small bits that I watched of it really did convince me that it was vaguely fascistic: Nobody questions established authority. If you question, you die. Be strong, or get pimp slapped. Toughen up, or die. Be useful. Support the fight, if not then fight. No, the enemy isn't human. Kill it. People like 'tough love'.

Post-Apocalyptic moral and social dabblings? Evangelion has tons of them. Akira...yep. Nausicaa, uh-huh. Blue Submarine Number 6, no doubt. Shangri-la, it's a weird one but yes.

From what I understand. HSOTD leaves no place for any serious emotions or reflection, not explicitly at least.

Would I like Code Geass?
