I've heard of it, but I wouldn't know from experience as I haven't watched it (I don't usually read 4-panel mangas). I've heard mixed stuff about it though. Some tell me it's an enjoyable comedy that portrays how teenagers focus too much on sex, others have told me it simply amounts to generic, shameless fanservice.

I say just watch an episode or two and see for yourself.

That's because ecchi is effectively banking on using sex appeal to sell the same story, in the same setting, with the same characters, as many times as possible. The characters' appearances may change a bit, but that's the extent of the changes to be expected. As long as the audience understands full well that what they're buying is the anime equivalent of junk food, there's no harm done. But it is the anime equivalent of junk food, and should be consumed sparingly and as part of a balanced anime diet.

Needless to say, it's the whole "pet woman" trope. Methinks both were inspired by Ah! My Goddess, which I hear is actually good... I doubt that, but whatever. I fucking hate that subgenre's become so goddamn popular. No wonder they had to make WataMote to snap people out of this shit.

Ah! Megami-sama had it's moments, plus the female characters (I don't know if Belledandy fits) of Urd and Skull were actually strong, not helpless. But it isn't an anime I would call excellent. It had it's funny moments.

The pet women anime, I don't know why it holds such an appeal. I mean, ok, you watch one anime with that trope. Fine. But can you really subject yourself to watching the same plot, over and over? Won't you tire of it? It's like eating steak with fries. You like it, but if you eat it everyday, you just grow tired and bored with it, regardless of your tastes.
