Oddly enough, you started with Kagome. It made me think that Takahashi gets lazy when it comes to main characters of her series. But she puts variety in faces and body types when it comes to secondary characters.

When it comes to mangaka/animators who like to make every character as different as possible; I'm gonna have to say that my first thoughts are about Naoki Urasawa and Masakazu Ishiguro.

For the 'Same face, same body' treatment; there's Ken Akamatsu...and most everything by CLAMP for some reason. I don't mean to bash on CLAMP either, but sometimes their people look like snakes or organ-less stick-people. In a sense I guess it's why I had a hard time accepting XXX Holic or Code Pizza Grease.

I'm 20. I'm around 1.62 to 1.64 meters tall and I weigh at a bit less than 53 kilos. When I was 17-18, my lowest point was 48 kilos. I assure you, I'm as easy-store and portable as Chiyo Mihama. Oh, and I'm flexible like Koyomi Mizuhara. But I'm not a girl.

Kagome and Inuyasha, especially, were created to be appealing to Takahashi's regular demographics. It's the old furry treatment, except Takahashi mastered it with Inuyasha and the ideal heroine/Bella Swan with Kagome.

She does the damsel role a lot and screams a lot. She wasn't annoyed by Shippo. She delivers junk food from the future as high-cal journey nourishment. Whenever that moon thing occurs and Inuyasha is completely human she does play a significant role. Her magical bow works as an offensive weapon and as a distraction...so long as somebody doesn't grab her.

Seems fair. She pulled her part in a decent manner. Which is something that can't be said for Swan.

Well unlike actors animated characters are not restricted by how many emotions and expressions an actor can convey.

Their only limitation is a writer's imagination and an artists' skill, and together they are capable of creating much more expression due to the ability to exaggerate and understate and manipulate the character in any they wish to.
