Anyway, I didn't mind Squid girl. Not the best in it's genre, not the worst.

I still ink that Squid Girl is an amusing anime, and I find those puns to be funny as shell. I just acknowledge that it's B-list material.

In other news, I picked up a new volume of the Soul Eater manga tonight. I'm liking Medusa more than I feel I probably should.

EDIT: Holy crap, how could I forget that? Nanatsu, Soul Eater is on Netflix as well. Definitely worth a look.

Ever since she was a little girl, Haruka Suzuki has only ever wanted one thing: to be like Macho Man Randy Savage. Since she's not doing well in school, and she's not making any friends anyway, she'll join a wrestling promotion! Will she become master of the Ring Of Blood, or will she be too distracted by all of the new friends, the glory, and the friendships she'll make?

I watched the anime first, so that's what I came in expecting. The difference is incredible. Manga Medusa is interesting, charming, engaging, and well-explored. The anime did a decent job with her as well, but it just pales in comparison. Maybe that's just a product of the difference in medium. A manga can be as long as it needs to be, it's sort of like a novel in that regard. That allows for much better character exploration and development. Anime, meanwhile, have their lengths set according to broadcast seasons' lengths.

Well ya, the anime skipped over whole character arcs and introductions. Also, if you notice, slight details in the characters are different.
(And the fact the anime pulled and FMA situation and is 2/3's non-cannon material, as well as a meh ending compared to the manga)
