I'm sitting here watching "Disaster". And why does O'Brien get outranked by an ensign and a therapist? I don't know much about this NCO stuff (Mostly cause he's like the only one you ever see) but it seems he should be in charge out of the three of them.

Well, within military organizations (or whatever Starfleet is) any commisioned officer, even an ensign, can outrank any non-commissioned officer, though the ensign in this situation is certainly expected to acknowledge and respect the nco's experience. As for Troy, yeah, that's silly, especially since Ro and Miles are both clearly more suited to dealing with the issue and Troy is, well, Troy.

And the events of Disaster is what prompts her to get actual command training and eventually get her Officer of the Watch certification in that episode.

Garibaldi is awesome. The actor for him, Jerry Doyle died in 2016 unfortunately. A good few of the Babylon 5 cast have passed away.

Judging by this article its currently up in the air at the moment, it was originally considered alongside the Picard one as an idea to pursue.

If only there was some massive war in Trek's backstory that has largely gone untouched on by the mainstream of the franchise, a war that Khan was heavily involved in. What great material for a show that would be.

Yeah, but if they covered the Eugenics Wars, they'd had to deal with the inconsistent timeline. Cause as you may remember, the war happened in the 1990's.
