They nailed that cliffhanger music. That was some Best Of Both Worlds shit right there.

I was kind of annoyed by the music in the beginning. Not that it was bad, but that it was kind of on the nose. Like on the whole approach to Kaylon I was thinking, "Gee, that's some awfully ominous music for people who are supposed to be on reasonably good terms with and considering joining the Union, I wonder if something is going to go horribly wrong?" :p

I had to do laundry, didn't get back until 9:30 and my cable wouldn't let me start it from the beginning. So now I'm debating watching it at work while my kids take a test...

Great episode. For a moment there I thought the Krill Captain was Jeffery Combs, but sadly it's not, it's Toombs from Chronicles of Riddick. I hope we get Jeff in season 3

in a weird twist of events, I didn’t get this joke, went about my day, later was looking for something to watch on Netflix and what by chance did I settle on? that’s right cheers. Your man Anson Mount is doing a cracking job in Discovery as Pike (though i never watched the original series pike so cant compare him to him) but i quite like him

I thought the new intro tying last week's episode into an Original Series episode was quite cool, i wonder if they will do that more in the future for more episodes.

I also wonder who is behind that probe that attacked the shuttle the episode before hand, saw a cool theory it was from Suru's people in the future, but i dont know

I'm a little considered about Mount's popularity, considering he's just a temporary character on the show.
He's turned in to such a typical Trek captain that they'll have a hole to fill after he goes back to the Enterprise.

Maybe the algorithm saved her, tried to rewrite and failed or whatever.
