I just watched All Good Things..., and its ending managed to once again make my eyes water with nostalgia. What an episode.

Re-watching some Original series episodes I'm noticing a lot of references to Greek and Roman mythology. including an episode where
They meet a real Greek god.

I keep getting hate for this, but there must be somebody around here who also thinks that TMP is the best Star Trek movie?

I'm sure there's one other person in existence who thinks that...I don't think they're around here, but they probably exist.

I think it was pretty good, but I may be biased because it was the first Trek movie I watched. In my opinion, it felt like one long TOS episode, but the creators didn't manage to pull it off the same way those of Beyond did.

TMP is a standard 40 minute episode padded out with special effects.

TNG: Pegasus: Romulan commander Silok is played by Michael Mack. I'm sure, I seen him before, but I can't remember what.

According to the list http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0533053/ he was in one episode of Doctor Quinn and was a background character in Generations.

On the other hand, he looks like James earl Jones in Conan. Maybe that is why I think I've seen him before.

What is the point of Fed can't use Cloaks? Who invented that rule?
Both Insurrection and the one with the pre-Vulcans, Fed anthropologists use Cloaks to study primitives.

And they mention the Chief of Starfleet Intelligence. So section 31 was acknowledged back then.

The best thing about it is it's lack of a real "villain". Villains are such a cliché, especially the ones in star trek.

The Federation is not allowed to use cloaked starships due to the treaty signed after the earth-romulan war.

So before I began watching Voyager, I thought the 'The Doctor' option was a Doctor Who joke. Just saying. Would still pick that option, though.

Except one of the alleged masterpieces of sci-fi, 2001, even had a villain. And it was slower and longer than even TMP.

2001 is my favorite film, which is probably why I like it so much.

I love that scene in way of the warrior, where it shows that while most of the others have been forced into melee combat Garak has shot like 6 Bat'leth wielding Klingons as they came around a corner. I'm starting to think Klingon soldiers need to purchase their own Disruptor so only officers or nobles with enough money carry them.

I think Klingons just like trying to be hand-to-hand guys. Look at the prestige Dahar masters like Kor get.

You ever notice the Tellarites get like no attention? One of the founding four of the Federation, and they basically get Hufflepuffed.

They basically are the Hufflepuff of the Federation.

That makes Humans Gryffindoor, Vulcans Ravenclaw, and Andorians Slytherin.

Honestly, that fits really well...
