Pretty much anything by Paradox has to be pretty high up there on the "good soundtrack" list.

Neverwinter Nights 2, The Witcher, Daggerfall, One Must Fall 2097, and Mass Effect all had stellar soundtracks.

The Etrian Odyssey series has amazing bgm, and Under Night is pretty good too. Have the Metroid Prime title screen soundtrack, and the final song of Dishonored, Honor for All. Fallout, of course, and TF2 has good ones. Portal's end songs are great. The TWEWY super-remix of Calling was amazing, and the upcoming Homestuck game tracks are certain to be awesome.

I thought Mass Effect had good music but to be honest the soundtrack music started to bore me after a while. I dunno, I'm just not a huge fan of tht style of soundtrack music I guess.

I liked the first one the most, I think. I don't dislike it by any means, it's on my Soundtrack playlist on Spotify, but they're not getting onto any of my Favorite Soundtrack lists.

Never heard any of the other ones you mentioned.

Definitely. I can't believe I forgot it. I also have no idea where the hell the songs went on my computer. I swear I had them...

Registug wrote:Favourite game soundtracks be To The Moon, Ace Combat, and Halo off the top of my head

Don't know any of these, either.

...I listen to a lot of music but I can only do so much, give me a break

Doesn't help I mostly listen to soundtracks for things I've actually played/watched.

Mostly.

I found that Mass Effect has the most unique soundtrack out of any game I played.

FTL also has a great soundtrack.

I think there's something about the last 2 I don't like as much. The style of the soundtrack I guess. Which I don't actually find terribly unique and that's part of my problem with it.

But the first one, briefly listening to it, is definitely cool. Might need to re-listen to it.

I can't remember everything I listen to very well...

It pains me to report that my 1 terabyte WD Black has died due to logic board failure.

Welp. It's a good thing I have a two year extended warranty on it.

I told you to go Caviar Green.

Just kidding, this is a good time to try out a RAID 0 array of four SSDs.

Just kidding about kidding, a hard drive death is a horrible tragedy. <internet hug> I don't know what I would do if I lost access to my vast collection of NSG flags.

I lost 2 hard drives in 2 years. Both same company (One died after 5 months, so I used the one my dad was gonna use).

Sparklevision is a shitty hard drive company.

Of course the 2nd time we found there was a fix for it for BEFORE it breaks...

It's not always good. I can't forgive the fact that they started using thermal paste instead of solder.

True. I mean does AMD even have hyperthreading yet?

Can you imagine a Phenom II 6-core w/hyperthreading so simulate 12 core? I mean the architecture would will be less efficient per clock like always so it'd probably still pale in comparison to the upper Xeons, but it'd most likely be a lot cheaper than the Xeon 12-core.

FTL has an awesome sound track. Although the thing about FTL's soundtrack that really makes me love it is the fact that there's actually two separate soundtracks. Each song has a faster and more intense fighting version, and a slower more mellow exploration one, the game has them both on at the same time and seamlessly blends them into each other, emphasizing one or the other depending on how the game is going.
