Still ridiculous. Remember when you could get a good game, new, for $20?

Not really. There are still some really good games that are new for $15, and I don't honestly think $40 for a game like Heavy Rain is that bad, or $60 for The Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls. I heard in some ways games are cheaper then they used to be. I also hear that the next generation games are still likely to be $60, so if you add on inflation, games will be cheaper in the next generation of consoles. Or, right now, $60 for a game is cheaper then they were when they were $60 5 or 6 years ago.

We got Metro 2033 for $5 on Steam and I felt like I robbed the game or something. It was definitely worth more then what we paid for it.

New gameplay of Daggerfall, playing as what I call a Brawler. Nord Hand-to-Hand specialist, high speed/agility/strength/endurance. I am disappointed that the Fighters Guild doesn't have H2H as a guild skill. Maybe I'll join the Temple of Stendarr.

Not brand new. The games we usually get have been out a while. But I live in Washington state.

Heavy Rain is $40, Dragon's Dogma is $40, and The Last Story is $30. All have been out for a while now, and Dragon's Dogma just got out of being $60 with their re-release of sorts that fixes bugs, adds a new mission, and makes the game cheaper.

Those were the days. As a side note, I recently came across my copy of the original Homeworld, original box and all. The manual was the equivilant to a minor novel (with something like twenty or so pages just of setting the scene back thousands of years) before it even got to game mechanics.

Now, you're lucky to get a flyer with the controls along with the adverts for other games inside the box for a game.

Never buy a computer game for more than twenty dollars.

I'll need to check the price on the back of it, but that game was worth every penny. Remember, I got that around 2000, when gaming was just starting to take off as a really big mass market.

It's a Gameboy Advance but VisualBoyAdvance Emulator for PC should have it.

... Things are hard enough in that game. Why would you want to fight monsters bare-handed?

Well, for example, in my main adventure I'm a Nightblade. I died at least ten times in the first dungeon, and I was always scared of what was around the corner. Couldn't handle a single Skeletal Warrior. Now? I absolutely wreck everything's shit. I go out and pick fights, I'm full healed in two hours tops resting, I rarely take damage, I swing five times in the time it takes for almost anything else to swing once. As a bonus, I don't need special materials to hit certain enemies. This is actually easier than my normal game, especially with all the advantages I've taken (and the disadvantages, too, that don't actually hinder me).

I'm not sure she's exactly the greatest one to be judging about games, though. It was when we were talking about the crazy things you can do in Eve Online, and she was bringing up the fact she heard there was some weird stuff you can do in The Secret World.

If you want more free things, you should sign up for the LoadOut closed beta. It's amazing, but from what I can tell not too many people know about it.

I heard about it, but that was it. Probably bland as usual. Not surprised they announced a new one. It is that time of year.
