You never see adult ponies without cutie marks unless it's an animation error, as proven by Faust. So, if a pony were to avoid earning its cutie mark, would it stay young forever, effectively granting it eternal life?

I mean, it seems unlikely, but stranger things have happened in the FiM universe.

There should be an episode about this in which the CMC still don't have their marks despite being well into their forties.
