It my personal opinion, I do Old World Blues first because it gives so much overpowered stuff, as well as several very good perks (immunity to poison, damage bonuses, removes radiation from drinking, etc.). After that I do the rest in order.

That's a reason NOT to do OWB first. Overpowered stuff makes the rest of the game a breeze, turning it kinda lame.

I did Honest Hearts first and now I'm probably going for OWB. Most of the stuff I get from the add-ons go in my storage anyway.
(Though Joshua's armour is a nice replacement for my reinforced leather armour)

I'd do Lonesome Road last, just because of the effect some of your action have on the Mojave.

Yeah, I guess it just depends on how you like to play. I love becoming a super-cyborg going around and using my energy weapons to level all opposition. :3

Honest Hearts, Dead Money, Old World Blues, Lonesome Road. OWB gives you a lot of perks that will help out a lot in the Lonesome Road.

Dead Money and Honest Hearts can be switched as your first or second DLC. Honest Hearts is easier, though I don't usually start my DLC run until I'm at a comfortable level for Dead Money anyways. Canonically speaking, OWB is third and Lonesome Road is last. To be completely honest, OWB can be done at any time without screwing with the story arc too much, but Lonesome Road won't make any sense unless you do it last.

Be warned though, once you play the DLC, you'll want to keep the GOTY edition. All four DLCs are better than the vanilla game in my opinion. The characters are more interesting (barring some Native Americansqe people in Honest Hearts.), the plot is better written, and the atmosphere drags you in more.

This. with some C4 if you can afford it. set the explosives in front in stealth before engaging, draw them over the mines.
I find bean bag shots with shotguns extremely useful in taking down one deathclaw at a time, pump them with a few of those then get to work with another weapon, switch back to bean bag if they're starting to get up again. (if in close quarters like a cave)

For long distance sniper rifle or the equivalent of that. Then grenade launcher as backup if they start getting close.
