The thing is, I really don't know how he died. I was just about to enter a shed when the notification noise popped up. When the loading screen was over it said he died even though he was literally a couple feet behind me when I went in.

Thought they'd have to be down to the internal organs for it be lethal. Hell, glowing ones are like 80% irradiated flesh anyway.
By the way, which is better for the level 30 perk: Fitnesse, Strong Back, or level 3 Demolitions Expert?

Strong back big time; Always go for more carry capacity espeically given that you can further enhance it with strong back two.

Eh...It can come in handy if you are fond of taking enemy weaponry.
Like say Super Muntants at black mountain are fond of expensive machine guns but they each weigh thirty pounds a piece got me? plus your own gear and that can overencumber you quickly.
