The Old American Republic wrote:I cant tell you why but only one movie breaks me, Saving Private Ryan. At the beginning and end of the movie I shed tears. I dont cry much, or show much emotion overall but that movie breaks me. I guess its the old man breaking down before the grave, watching the Captain die, and seeing him salute his Captains grave.

I have a friend who believes in reincarnanation. I dont nor ever have. Personally Im Christian. But he says I had a past life in WWII. He says thats why I cry during WWII movies. I dont know though

Maybe it's just because a lot of sad things happened in WWII? "Saving Private Ryan" was a good movie and very emotionally powerful.

I didn't cry, but I got a lump in my throat watching the Shawshank Redemption.
That movie has the emotional impact of a pile of bricks being dropped on you. So many feels.
When the war is over
Got to start again
Try to hold a trace of what it was back then
You and I we sent each other stories
Just a page I'm lost in all its glory
How can I go home and not get blown away

The Mario Brothers Movie...

It was so bad that it made me cry, scream in anger, and throw (the vcr) into the TV.

Marley & Me. I can hold myself together at the end, as long as nobody tries to make me speak. I don't particularly care if a person dies, but not the dog! Never the dog.

I am disposed to believe he refers to the latter.

To the best of my knowledge I have never cried during a movie. One of the ones that made me sad was the Boy in the Striped Pajamas. The father finally realized the horror of what he had been facilitating all along. I wonder if he left the Nazi party after that or if his wife left him and took his daughter, making him full of hate and even more evil?

High fives.

I've been looking to find the original Japanese version of it, only seen the 'Richard Gere version'.
