I'm not sure, I can't narrow it down to just one. But, here are my favorite bands (all tieing for first, no particular order):
Cake
Bloc Party
Queens of the Stone Age

Nation does not necessarily reflect political views.
Economic Left/Right: -7.88
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -8.00

Bad Rydia.

No, sumimasen. But now I do and I friggin' love her!
Thanks for mentioning her Fiddy!

As for Cat Power, she's Canadian, and also crazy. These are important attributes for an artist. "Itchyhead" is one of the most disturbing songs I've ever heard, although it doesn't seem to be found anywhere online. Really primal, surreal and bizarre.
Stuck somewhere between high school and old school.

Dude... That's like asking if I like Bon Scott or Brian Johnson better... While Bon brought the band into existance and got them national fame, Brian got them international fame...
In my opinion as long as they keep the soul of the band alive it doesn't matter who the singer is... I mean, Blue Oyster Cult went through 10 perfectly good drummers in a years if a recall correctly... Just because they didn't like there attitude towards the band.

Comparing the situations of AC/DC and Van Halen don't add up to the same thing though. Don't get me wrong, Van Halen saw major success with both Roth and Hagar and when Roth left, lots of VH fans left as well You have to like one more than the other... don't you?

Here I'll put it this way... I'm a Packer fan in both music and football... Just because Brett Farve switched to another team doesn't mean I'll go and support that team... In the same way if a musician I likes leaves a band I love I will not stop liking the band...

To make a long story short... I support the Band... not the Members.
