Imperium of Man wins the battles, Empire wins the war for the simple fact that the SW ships have FTL that isn't reliant going though literal hell.

This is true, but we haven't even touched on the ability of ground troops to seize a planet. We have assessed yes Star Wars has Naval power but assuming that they have sense and don't blow up everything in the galaxy who would win on the ground?

To anyone calling the UNSC under powered: As of Halo 4 the UNSC seems to be curb stomping covenant remnants.

I played Halo 4; No curbstomping went on. The UNSC came in and went about crushing the remnants of a broken fleet, with their best ship. Hardly what one would call epic.

I dunno man... when the infinity curb-stomped that little covvie battle cruiser straight out of slipspace... that was pretty badass.

If the "SW" side has every Star Wars ship, weapon, device, army, and other shit ever in the SWU then nothing can compete, even in the exact same scenario in other universes.

to counter jedi the imperium has the Grey knights who are basicaly Space Marines with jedi powers cranked up to 11 and there are at least 5000 of them, and the witch hunters, and the sisters of battle (nuns in power armor with bolters)

space marines are men made gods of war and can suffer wounds that would kill anything in the star wars universe.

There the Halo units may have a chance. Spartans and Hunters would probably be able to do quite a bit of damage to the Star Wars pansies, and lets not forget Scarabs...

The Covenant is, comparative to the WH40K factions or the Star Wars factions, underpowered heavily, as they can still be bested by humanity if the battle favors them from the start or with special circumstances. In short, the Covenant are not game changers.

All things considered, the 40K Imperium has two big advantages - more fanatism they can instrumentalize and space marines. Psykers are a mixed bag as their powers like to backfire.
Their big disadvantage are the 'innovation is Heresy' doctrine, the slow loss of knowledge, being at war with each other faction in the galaxy simultanuously, and unable to start peace talks for ideological reasons even with the few factions that could be sane enough to listen. Also, they have no death stars or nova torpedos.

The SW Empire has the advantage of better resource piplines, better communication, better high-end technology and a way smaller number of rabid enemies within and without.

As for Halo, pit then against any one of the large 40K alien races and they will have a very hard time.

One thing that would be very important in terms of battlefield conditions in any SW vs 40K battle would be whether the Warp and the Force are two separate entities or whether they are the same. If the Force is not part of the Warp, the closest 40K Equivalent would be the psychic abilities of the Orks, making them the closest 40K has to Force users.

Also 40K, because of the mass tanks, infantry, super-humans and the such. Plus, if we add in the other races, they'd easily out-number all of them. Plus a-lot of them would be corrupted to Chaos, since they've never faced it before.
