It's distastefully amusing and has cute character designs.

My main problem is the fandom. They are a bunch of racist, yaoi-crazed teenagers who might as well spit and stomp on flags.

It's not a bad show (one of the few anime that I can tolerate... pretty high bar there), but the fans are all teenage-girl yaoi-loving numbskulls.

I've never seen anyone degrade the English so much in my life.

Personally, I love the show, just not most of the fanbase. Although, those wonderful artists on deviantART and tumblr, who actually care to put historical accuracy and detail into their artworks, and aren't just "OMG USUK IS SOOOOOO KAWII DESU!!! <3 <3 FRUK FANZ R HOREZ!", can be left out of the equation of the yaoi-terrorist fan-base, I suppose.

But, I didn't come here to berate the fangirls. I came here to ask a srs bsns question. There's an old wive's tale, explaining the origins of Poland, Russia, and Czechoslovakia. Apparently, three brothers named Lech, Czech, and Rus were looking for land to call their own, and so Lech climbed to the top of the tallest tree to look for a home for his brothers. Rus went to the east (Russia), and Czech went south (Czechoslovakia). Lech stayed where he was, and became Poland. So, taking this legend into account: If the story is true, doesn't that mean that Russia, Poland, and Czechoslovakia/Czech Republic/Slovakia are brothers?

I've always thought it was an...interesting thought, to say the least.

I watched that show for the historical references, and it sure gave me some good laughs. Especially the parts where Holy Rome tried to make Italy join the Holy Roman Empire, cause those scenes pretty much described me playing Europa Universalis III in a nutshell.
