Well, I actually just started the show, and it's hilarious. mostly because it's not how they would act but because it's stereotyped.

As for my favourite character, I would have to say... Canada because he's always taking the full brunt of the blow from other countries because they always think he's America or non-existent. So I sympathise him.

What do bronies have to do with Hetalia? Portions of their fanbases might be a bit similar in some aspects, but I don't really see why you brought bronies up.

The show is meant to be a comedy, not some social-political preaching about stereotyping. Its just to blow off a little steam and laugh a little

I dislike it and the rabid fandom. I like some of the character art, but it's already seen bland moe style, in the end.

Historical Accurate Hetalia would show Italy being continously beaten up by other characters. In a total non-comedic fashion.
And I am Italian.

It's not a bad show (one of the few anime that I can tolerate... pretty high bar there), but the fans are all teenage-girl yaoi-loving numbskulls.

I've seen it, reluctantly. I'm a big anime fan but I consider Hetalia to be cancer. It can be tolerable in small doses but has a tendency to descend into inanity rather quickly, and of course, also has a tendency to take over cons. Admittedly, I do prefer it over bronies and Homesuck fans at cons though.
