Has anyone ever started a game in EU Rome, and then converted it into CKII, and then converted it to EUIV, and then converted it to Vicky, and finally into HOI? Cuz that's a story I want to hear.

I know I would not be able to do that, I always end up trying a different nation in EUIV, after 200 years or so.

I guess I'll post my progress in my Japan game of HOI 2:

I managed to annex all of the Chinese factions except for Yannan and Tibet (the former of which has tensions with me, the latter is friendly), I then turned Menguoko and Xibei San Ma into puppets. Still dealing with the risk of revolts in former Nationalist China, but I'm training enough infantry and shipping them into my ports there to keep them under control. I have French Indochina under my command too. I have a powerful and reorganized navy; I've built two Yamato class ships, and two Shokaku (I think?) class carriers.

However, I seem to have hit a brick wall, it's 1942, I didn't attack the US, because that probably wouldn't go my way, and now I'm having to mobilize on my border with the USSR, because they have stopped Barbarossa at Smolensk, Riga, and Kiev. Luckily, the US and I are on great terms, so if it comes to a showdown between myself and the Red Army, I might be able to rely on American intervention to help me out.

EDIT: And, of course, Manchuokuo and Siam are my puppets.

Played another session of my vic 2 online game, with some interesting developments.

The colonial crisis with Spain ended in my favour. The great power who backed them settled for peace before things got too hot and I got Somoliland. The rest of Africa was colonized with me winning competitions with France over the Rift valley and a few others. Needless to say, the map of Africa looks a little weird at the end result. Italy formed, having some colonies in N.Africa and one in Djibouti, but everyone (ie France and the Netherlands) started grabbing them, so not it grimly holds onto what remains.

Super Germany destroyed its rebels, killing something close to half a million of his people, and preceded to again go stomping around Europe. This included forcing Russia to release Latvia, taking southern Belgium and occupying the Netherlands forcing them to hand over Java.

The USA colonized the Yukon when I wasn't paying attention, but otherwise spent most the time colonizing the small pacific islands and feuding with Japan.

Russia has focused on modernization, education and technology for the most part. Attempted to back Persia in taking Afghanistan which brought us to war. After that loss, he didn't do a whole lot of territorial expansion and proceeded to ally with me when the great war option was unlocked.

CPU China became a great power and tried to invade Afghanistan and ended up in a war with me. They pinned my army down at the border then swarmed the rest of their forces across to occupy the territory. Managed to hold them at Bangladesh, and they sued for peace straight after. This is, I believe, because my border army defeated the army they used to pin it down-resulting in China loosing close to 300,000 men.

As for me, I took the rest of Burma, Transvaal, a small Indian state and Oman (mostly to secure its African possessions). The latter of which I received no infamy from, so i'll probably invade Abu Dubai to keep my momentum going in the middle east. In the very unlikely event I get no infamy from that, I'll invade Yemen.

Except for that part of the world that you don't know until you start exploring.

Currently busy with Tibet, and I'm somewhere in 360 CE. And the Roman empire is about twice my size. And still there's a strong power between us (weaker than me though).

Playing as Russia in Vicky 2 Pops of darkness mod and I managed to annex all of Scandinavia and I made china (beiyang) into my puppet and invaded the USA which turned into a Great War with my victory
