Looks like you guys are picking Twilight Sparkle the most but the polls just begun. Stay alert on this thread for updates on new threads, poll activities/updates, and news of the pony 2012 election. reminder that in three weeks, the first round will be over, the pony with the lowest votes will be drop out, and move to round two. i will probably change the name again to something simple like "My little pony president 2". KEEP VOTING, this land will be run by somepony, and you have equal say of who it is.

-Applejack (sensible in general)
-Rarity (Also fairly sensible, if a little vain and melodramatic)
-Dashie (A bit too egotistical and lazy)
-Fluttershy (Way too shy and easily intimidated. Mind you, if they managed to properly piss her off...)
-Pinkie (Oh god no. Didn't you read FoE?)

Yes princes celestia was the ruler of equestria, but the majority of the ponies did not want to live under a monarchy anymore after a wise philosophic pony ask the question "Why cant we work together towards a better tomorrow? We dont really want what the Queen say we want, she is not us"! After weeks of argument and debating, the ponies agreed on a direct republic goverment system (to satisfy the ponies that want freedom but to feel like there still under a monarchy "witch still gives them a feeling of security") Becauses the six main ponies saved equestria twice, they where begged to run as there first pony pony president. Celestia and Luna did not like this new goverment philosophy the ponies adopted at first, but step down as Celestia wanted her ponies to be happy. Both sisters say before leaving "We will be your night and day, your guardian angels, and your friends".
