My will power finally crumbled and I bought the Vampire Counts army book and a box of Black Knights.
Soon, I shall have a horde of zombies.

To fund this I am going sell my empire army, the few ogres I have, some random orc and goblin things, and my dark elves from fantasy.
From my historical stuff I am going to sell of some Assyrians, Greeks, Sea peoples, and some extra Macedonian stuff.
Aaaaaaaaaaannnnnd from 40k I am going to sell Black Templars, Eldar, Dark Eldar, Space Wolves, possibly Orks, and possibly my Blood Angels, and a remote possibility of selling off the Imperial Guard.
2014 is gonna be a fun wargaming year, as the Wood Elves are supposed to be redone!
So, armies I will have remaining:
40K:
Chaos Daemons, most likely Imperial guard, and possibly Orks and Blood Angels
Warhammer Fantasy:
Wood Elves and Vampire Counts
Historical:
Seleucids/Macedonians, Romans, Teutonic Knights
That should clear out a lot of space in my basement, and hopefully net me a profit!
edit: anybody interested?

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSS!!!!!
I love the new black knights, and the hex wraiths to boot!
I prefer skeletons over zombies, thematically, but I don't have the army book yet. Hopefully within the next week I'll have some and start planning out my undead legion!
Hail a fellow Lord of Undeath!
Let us blot out the sun and live in world eternal darkness!

The living will tremble in fear.
I'll probably try to piece together the army over the next year, since I'm going for about a hundred zombies.
Or this fevered dream will die at some point.
I do like the look of the skeletons, but since I want to go for a Strigoi vampire, I thought a mass of zombies, some ghouls and some Crypt Horrors would suit better - them representing the inhabitants of a grave yard and a load of fresh dead, either from the cemetery itself or from local towns.
The Black Knights will be from a nearby pre-Sigmar barrow, awoken by the vampire in order to provide his army with some cavalry.
The main problem with the Ghoul King is the ridiculous points cost, and the fact that there is no model at the moment. I've got one of the old Strigoi models knocking about somewhere, but it looks a bit dated.

Unless you plan to play in GW tourneys, GW game shops, or with pretentious assholes, consider Mantic's line of undead minis to help fill out your numbers. GW minis are good, but why pay so much for the whole horde? Some variety looks better too IMHO, as long as the sizes are close enough. [/my2¢]

GW Tourneys...you're funny. From what I've seen, the sizes are nearly identical, and hell, if someone wojn't play because you don't use GW mini's, they're probably not worth playing with. It's not like the difference between using Forgeworld in 40k and GW troops, where Forgeworld can often be flat out better than GW stuff. It's just a different looking model. Anyone who insists on GW only is probably a soulless GW apologist anyway.

GW torunies = no other things allowed.
GW staff an' all.

^^^This. My local game place has never had a GW tournament, and the 40K events they have had have had several proxy models involved and not a single person whined or complained about it.

So, two things. One, oh my GOD th Ghoul King looks fuckterrifying on papaer, and I really want to see how he plays. I'm looking at building up counts-as Empire and Vamp Countss armies, and I was trying to decide between Ghoul King and Vampire Lord to back my Necros.
Two, take a look at Mantic Games undead stuff, the models are real high quality, and way cheaper than GW stuff. Sixty zombies for sixty bucks? I think yes! Buying Mantic models is about the only way I'll be able to afford building two armies at one time.
EDIT: Three things: There is a Ghoul King figure included with the Terrorgheist kit. Quite a few of them on Ebay for fairly cheap. Range from 16 bucks buy it now, to 99 cents opening bid.

But yeah. Warhammer is more of a social event than anything else. Doing it online takes away the awesome.
And IG Stormtroopers are very good. I don't know what makes them "meh".

That sounds absolutely dreadful. Warhammer is about having fun with other people and rolling dice. And then getting mad at each other.![]()
Also, beer and cigarettes go great with it. My group plays in my basement, and we have boxes of empty beer cans and cigarette packs around the table...

More for testing, we still meet up at local game store. Just a matter of play testing stupid builds (Conscript spam go!) that we may or my not have the models for.
