very well, as shown above the Imperium loses a war(yes even with space marines) to a same sized Dominion
Doubtful. The Dominion couldn't hold any of the worlds they took, and have the strategic maneuverability of a snail. It would be like the hypothetical US invasion of Japan near the end of WWII; the Imperium would make them fight for every inch of ground, and the Dominion would never have the advantages they need.
Hell, the US lost in Vietnam against a force that wasn't near equal with them; the Dominion wouldn't be able to do noticeable damage to the Imperium.

The Domions manufacturing is lightyears ahead of the Imperium, you bringe a baneblade? for every baneblad perhaps a a hundred Crucios, you bring a warhound titan? they bring a hundred Goliaths or Vikings, you bring a trillion guardsmen, they bring a trillion power armored Terran marines.
plus terran technology is overall more advanced to begin with, there not stuck trying to still figure out how to build shit.

If we just took two galaxies and removed everything else but the Terrans and the Imperium, it'd be a lolstomp.

Except that a single hit from a baneblade will gut a dozen crucios. And a Warhound can WALK on Goliaths and Viks. And if I bring a larger Titan, it just gets obscene.

Even if your vehicles are better pound for pound(which is unlikley) they are overwhelmed by enemy numbers.
Titans, Warhounds are rare peices of technology that aren't constitently manufactured, and the Dominion has access to Thors, might not be as good as a titan but they can field a fuck ton more than you tech priests can scratch there heads and build.

Imperium fleets would be horribly outnumbered by Behemoth battle cruisers, hell they oculd build more battle cruisers than the imperium could build frigates.

Obviously the Imperium wouldn't bother to do anything to increase production in response to a massive threat. They'd just do the exact same thing until they lost.

Battlecruisers could never move as quickly as Imperial fleets. Nor could they withstand boarding actions from Astartes.

Since when the does the imperium make vast strides in technological research?
HERESY!
It's not technology that keeps them from building more, it's tradition, and if the AM thought they could safely grab power by making Titan Legions that outnumbered the Astartes I've no doubt they would.

Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P.

No they are a dimming light in the galaxy, if the adeptus mechanus could build titans effectively they would have already done so. Not to mention Terran tech is a far cry more reliable and consistent then " Let's jump in the warp, maybe well get there in time, or we show up a hundred years to late"
