very well, as shown above the Imperium loses a war(yes even with space marines) to a same sized Dominion

Doubtful. The Dominion couldn't hold any of the worlds they took, and have the strategic maneuverability of a snail. It would be like the hypothetical US invasion of Japan near the end of WWII; the Imperium would make them fight for every inch of ground, and the Dominion would never have the advantages they need.

Hell, the US lost in Vietnam against a force that wasn't near equal with them; the Dominion wouldn't be able to do noticeable damage to the Imperium.

The Domions manufacturing is lightyears ahead of the Imperium, you bringe a baneblade? for every baneblad perhaps a a hundred Crucios, you bring a warhound titan? they bring a hundred Goliaths or Vikings, you bring a trillion guardsmen, they bring a trillion power armored Terran marines.

plus terran technology is overall more advanced to begin with, there not stuck trying to still figure out how to build shit.

Except that a single hit from a baneblade will gut a dozen crucios. And a Warhound can WALK on Goliaths and Viks. And if I bring a larger Titan, it just gets obscene.

Even if your vehicles are better pound for pound(which is unlikley) they are overwhelmed by enemy numbers.

Titans, Warhounds are rare peices of technology that aren't constitently manufactured, and the Dominion has access to Thors, might not be as good as a titan but they can field a fuck ton more than you tech priests can scratch there heads and build.

I'm pretty sure the Vietnamese didn't even have the ability to make tanks, and they still managed to wear down the best fucking military in the world to the point where they didn't want to fight. The Imperium, on the other hand, would have no major morale problems because of the Imperial Cult, and the Astartes can render any defenses useless (because the Dominion has fuck all that could shoot down drop pods, and there's no way they could stop Terminators from teleporting in).

There's a reason humanity can be everyone's antagonist in 40k without dying, and it's not just because we're biased. The Dominion needed the Protoss and they still barely beat the Zerg.

And each of those BCs is smaller than a Frigate, depending on the scale you use. Since BFG has some odd scaling issues.

It's not technology that keeps them from building more, it's tradition, and if the AM thought they could safely grab power by making Titan Legions that outnumbered the Astartes I've no doubt they would.

Astartes are a rare breed on the galactic level, they would not be that much of a threat, in fact they would be dead relatively quickly. Hell, the time it takes to fully train and develop a space marine the Terrans might already have a small army of psionic ghosts which i daresay are more deadly than space marines.

No they are a dimming light in the galaxy, if the adeptus mechanus could build titans effectively they would have already done so. Not to mention Terran tech is a far cry more reliable and consistent then " Let's jump in the warp, maybe well get there in time, or we show up a hundred years to late"

Okay here is a Imperial Guard song, I made for my regiment. The 1st Caroleans.

Spent the night in formation
To the battle we marched in the dawn
We were ready to die for our Emperor
On the fields of Breitenfeld

Fire at will
Aim for their cannons
Counter attack
Thunder of guns

Empeor mit uns
As we all stand united
All together Emperor mit uns

From the old world's demise
See an empire rise
From the north reaching far
Here we are

On September the seventh
We filled their hearts with fear
Seven times they attacked on that day
Seven times they retreated

Cavarly charge
Follow that banner
After the Emperor
Freedom we bring

Emperor mit uns
As we all stand united
All together Emperor mit uns

From the old world's demise
See an empire rise
From the north reaching far
Here we are

Breaking their lines
Thousands of soldiers
Run for their lives
Legend arise

Emperor mit uns
As we all stand united
All together Emperor mit uns
Mit uns
As we all stand united
All together Emperor mit uns

From the old world's demise
See an empire rise
From the north reaching far
Here we are [X2]

I have a feeling that this would play out like WWII on the eastern front. The Germans had better soldiers and better tech, but the Soviets had inexhaustible supplies when their factories got rolling and they were making nasty tanks nonstop.

Only because of Q and TOTW.
MT <Compatible with FanT if needed>: The Shattered Enclave [INACTIVE]
FT: Aperture Industries
"The Shattered Enclave is technically a failed nation, but through all odds, they have survived as a million-headed hydra, all ready to simultaneously attack each other as their enemies. Wildly different factions, each with cultures that simply could not have developed within a hundred years, kept in a temporum of chaos...one wonders if more unexplained powers were involved in the creation of this monstrosity..."
WE ARE THE COLOR RED IN A WORLD FULL OF BLACK AND WHITE.....
tl;dr: Not a country or a nation. More like an entire world divided into a trillion pieces. Near impossible to invade. FanT/FT origins, MT/PMT technology.

They can. The only reason it takes ages to replace a Titan is because of the Tech-Cult of the AM. How do you not understand that? Or the fact that every single victory for the Terrans would be pyrrhic, as the Imperial troops would hold on to all the ground they could.

AETEN II wrote:I have a feeling that this would play out like WWII on the eastern front. The Germans had better soldiers and better tech, but the Soviets had inexhaustible supplies when their factories got rolling and they were making nasty tanks nonstop.

I'd imagine it's more like the hypothetical attack on Japan: the US (Dominion) would eventually win, but only with completely unacceptable casualties.
