I imagine he wouldn't be unless it was 30k.
Speaking of which, I think I'd really want to play the SM Legions, but dem prices... It's bad enough I can't afford GW, but FW?

In short, yes, anyone who says otherwise is a heretic
Tabletop-wise, I imagine that they would be a poor man's Grey Knights, what with their bolter-halberds instead of force weapon and stormbolter, and lack of psychic powers.

Non sense. They would probably be scarily more powerful Grey knights. I mean think about it. Skimmer rhinos, jet bikes, a solid 4++ or 3++ save on the basic grunt, and while they lack standard psyker abilities they most likely have some form of "holy" power giving to them something like a blinding light or some Shizz like that. Oh and 5 toughness and strength to go with your 5 weapon and ballistic skill is mighty nice.

I don't think humanity would have changed much. The Astartes and the Mechanicus are probably the only grand exceptions.
But human body height is on an upward trend, viz. compared to the original home erectus we are quite tall, averaging 5' 7". If this continues for another 38,000 years, I'm sure humans will be taller.

I doubt it. If the Eldar and Tau are to be believed, skimmer APCs and jetbikes aren't too scary, and I don't see how there's a ++ on the average grunt. I also doubt the holy power part. The Stats you give are way too high, or otherwise we'd have to adjust the Space Marines and Grey Knights to match their own fluff accordingly.

Yeah jet bikes from the eldar may not be that scary but have you ever gone against a white scars army? Imagine that force being even faster with added custodis abilities and you have murder machines.
If regular joe guard officers can get a 5++ i don't think its outrageous to say that the Imperial palace's defenders can get themselves a 4++.
Well maybe not a holy power which has direct influence but some form of intimidation inspiring aurora seems to make sense.
Those stats aren't OP Custodis are OP, i mean they aren't just marines who guard the palace of the emperor they are special, being clearly stated as bigger and stronger then your regular marines combine this with their longevity and all the time they have to train
giving them 5 WS, 5 BS, 5 S, and 5 T seems perfectly reasonable to me.

I doubt they merit that big a boost. A special rule, maybe, but not that big a boost.giving them 5 WS, 5 BS, 5 S, and 5 T seems perfectly reasonable to me.
I thought you said that was OP.

What?
Any ways i guess we will just have to agree to disagree. As the best grunts (within their force respectably) in the galaxy i think that having them one up the regular marines at everything seems to be perfect. However if you believe that the Custodis are barely more then marines with a special job then so be it there is more then enough against that, that clearly their is no point in me trying to argue it to you.

I'm not saying Custodes are barely more than marines, I'm just saying that it doesn't merit a drastic increase in stats. The grey knights didn't need a huge boost, did they? And lets not forget how just fifty conscripts cannot bury marines in dakka in crunch, whereas a single company can wipe out a regiment of Guardsmen in fluff.

You're blatantly just trying to make them OP.
Custodian Squad
WS:4 BS:4 S:4 T:4 W:1 I:5 A:2 Ld:10 Sv:3+
Powered armor, Guardian Spear(Assault 1 Bolter/CCW)
counter attack, fearless, and relentless
Also, the grav-rhino is a rhino that floats, not a land raider that floats. Still has the same armor as a rhino.

Oi' i didnt write that! Thats just the fandex made for them. And your right the rhino isnt a land raider its a floating rhino utilizing the advanced energy shields of an age long past still secure in the vaults of holy Terra alongside the jet bike.
