Kill La Kill
"All is lost, Guardian. Get out of here. I'll hold them off for as long as I can. The Fallen cannot be stopped. They do not negotiate. Their bargains are lies. I've watched them burn and pillage whole villages in the Cosmodrome. [gags] I've watched Dregs eat children. They envy us. Their legends say the Traveler chose them before us. And they will kill. They will torture. They will maim to earn their Machine God's favor." -Saint-14

Started watching the Rai adaptation of The Name of the Rose. Didn't like all the changes and additions they made.

Netflix's The Witcher. Given it (give or take) only encompassed the "prequel" books, rather than any of Ciri and Geralt's adventures themselves, it was surprisingly better than I expected. The Fighting was generally faithful to the games (I don't recall much about the fighting in the books, so I'm going by the games): well choreographed and hilariously, pathetically lopsided whenever Geralt's in the scene [especially the first major fight scene a la Butcher of Blaviken]. The acting was superb (especially from the main cast. I did not expect Cavill to pull "emotionless man with emotional capacity of the world's largest teaspoon" that well.) And what's more, compared to what I was expecting it did not have any PC bullshit either (given what was going on during the buildup to the show's release, many were worried about it -even in Tumblr of all places. Thankfully it wasn't that bad, or at least I didn't see any glaring PC bullshit, Triss' lack of auburn hair aside, though she doesn't have red hair in the books either so there's that)

I made the amazing discovery that additional seasons of Peep Show were filmed after I watched the original run several years ago, so I've been watching that and some classic That Mitchell and Webb Look episodes.

Rick Steves' Europe - France’s Loire: Château Country

I always loved these travel doc's. Ive always liked the design of the old medieval and renaissance Châteaux. The architecture and design just look so aesthetically pleasing. Rick Steves' narration also helps as he has a soothing voice that fits the calmness of it.

Finally binge watched Enterprise. Not bad. As it went along I was getting into it.

The closer was probably the worst thing I have ever seen in a series.

discoursedrome wrote:everyone knows that quote, "I know not what weapons World War Three will be fought, but World War Four will be fought with sticks and stones," but in a way it's optimistic and inspiring because it suggests that even after destroying civilization and returning to the stone age we'll still be sufficiently globalized and bellicose to have another world war right then and there
