It's been a while since we've seen some Ponilove in this thread.

Fluttershy's look screams less "nervous laughter" and more "Mortal terror about to send her into a psychotic breakdown".

The only "nuclear" option they really have is the Elements. Celestia and Luna may be stronger than your average pony, but they've never been shown to unstoppable superpowers or any such thing. Besides, even if they were that strong, it wouldn't make any difference. They're commanders and royalty on top of that, and you don't send either to the front lines. They could be one-mare armies, and they'll still sit at the back directing the troops.

As for Cadence and Shining sending the Changelings packing, that was clearly a one-time thing. The attack was created from sheer determination and the purity of their love for each other. That's not something that you can just do. You can't control that; it's entirely circumstantial. I doubt it could ever be duplicated, unless, possibly, if they were put into a similar situation. Also, like with Celestia and Luna, it wouldn't matter, anyways, as they're not sending Cadence to the front lines what with her being royalty and, in all likelihood, the current heir to the throne.

The only super weapon that Equestria really has is the Elements, but that's also all they particularly need as the Elements are the strongest magic known to ponykind. They can even take down Discord, and he's pretty much a living god.

Indeed they are royalty, and if they want to go and fight to protect their little ponies there isn't anyone who can really order them not to.

When Cadence's special talent is spreading love, why wouldn't they be able to duplicate it?
