But, the whole point of a combat form is it's shit compared to the player/other shielded people.

It'd be like saying: Here, you can have an even chance at winning, or you can lose. Your choice!

Come back to me once you've faced an elite combat form, shielded, with an energy sword on heroic in tight combat in a hallway.

Excuse me, sir. Seeing as how the V.P. is such a V.I.P., shouldn't we keep the P.C. on the Q.T.? 'Cause if it leaks to the V.C. he could end up M.I.A., and then we'd all be put out in K.P.

On Legendary on the level "343 Guilty Spark" or "The Library", it sure seems like the Flood do.

Before my XBOX broke, I did the flood levels in the AE on heroic. The only thing that kept me alive was the shotgun. I ended up ditching my assault rifle because it was taking two clips to just kill one combat form.

Never try to take a stand against the flood on Guilty Spark. Just when you think you've beaten them, three flood spawn with rocket launchers.

That attempt didn't end well.

If by scary you mean going up against all new enemies from an advanced civilization that spanned galaxies, whose basic Knights are more powerful than the Elites, and whose technology far exceeds either Human OR Covenant (who somehow managed to make the Forerunner tech not-so-great)....

Then yes, it's absolutely terrifying.
