Anyone else think that the deal for pre-ordering is rather limited?

I pre-ordered the game from Best-Buy. However when I think of it now, why the heck did I pay the five extra bucks for a poster, a piece of armor I'll probably rarely wear, and the safety of getting the game on time. Which I would probably be able to get the game without pre-ordering it on the day it comes out.

It's not our fault that the rest of y'all don't spend hundreds of billions of dollars on your militaries.

Of course, we practically belong to China after all of our spending, but still...

China is actually our bitch. They only own 10% and we would destroy their economy if well pulled out all interests completely. China is effectively a house of cards that while does indeed look impressive, can easily be destroyed and will likely fall into chaos within the next hundred years, or even decades.
Besides, America could just nationalize Goldman Sachs to take over the majority of the world instantly.
But I'd rather that we just relinquish our grasp and simply fell back into the laid-back position of Britain. They help out, but they don't police the whole goddamn world.

And why kill people with napalm or missiles when you have railguns? Or chemical lasers? The military obviously does so for kicks.

They could cripple your economy and bankrupt all of the west if they did the same and stopped buying your debt, who else is strong enough economically to do so?, they have billions upon billions in reserve because they have made deals with some of the new up and coming economies such as Brazil and a few african countries, the west doesnt. Dont Underestimate China.

And bullshit. The MLG is a running joke and the halo fans they'll be 'testing' will likely be themselves.

And a Railgun is a realistic kill gun. The navy will be putting them on ships within several years as you don't need explosives. However, you can use explosive warheads if you really have to make sure they're dead.
But yeah, a ship that withstands a single shot from a railgun is extremely impressive. It's not surprise that the covie ships get blown to smithers' by em'. You ever seen the size of the barrels on those defense stations? Ouch.

NO! A MAC (Magnetic Accelerator Cannon) is a coilgun. Same idea: the manipulation of magnetic fields. Different applications: a railgun as two 'rails' on which conflicting magnetic fields are pumped through. A coilgun as a number of magnetically charged coils which do the same thing.

Railguns are impractical: due to the constant friction and contact, the parts wear out quickly. But with a coilgun, there's no actual contact (not contact that lasts, anyhow) so the parts last longer.

It's a fairly simply concept, but one that requires a shitload of power to operate on any usable scale.

Also, the calculation on their page is wrong. The slugs travel at 120,000 kilometers per second (300,000 km/s (speed of light) x .4 (four tenths) = 120,000 km/s)

Ive read the halo wiki alot but i always thought a MAC gun was a railgun, apparently not. Although the railgun in H4 looks awesome. Good way the balanced it out, one shot then you are exposed till you reload again. I think a mult shot magazine would have made the weapon overpowered.

It reminds me of the Concussion Rifle from Republic Commando.

but jokes aside, our Air Force is where the real space age tech is. Literally, if you think we don't have plans for a chemical laser or a rail-gun sat, you are sadly mistaken. The navy might look like it can take down any coast in hours, and sure it could. But even our own navy would piss their pants and go crying home to mommy when the Air Force gets to shoot down hell itself from the heavens.

They make fun of the Air Force for having all the smart guys, only the nerds. But who is laughing when a 35 kilo tungsten rod is flying mach 20 towards your home city? So the navy might be getting the railguns soon but once the Air Force gets their sat-guns, that's when the real fun starts.

British Navy best at being in floaty-boats. British Army best at errehthing the Army should ever have to do (except PSOs in Northern Ireland). Royal Air Force best at flying low and finding quality hotels. CHMRM best Marine Corps ever. And, finally: Household Guards best Dress Uniform ever in the history of extremely uncomfortable and hot hats.

My only complaints on the game are the multiplayer leveling system. People who can afford to pay a $100 for the limited edition can get all of the classes - whereas people who just buy the regular game will only play with like, two of them. I was really looking forward to them keeping everyone on equal footing. I looked upon it here, and I have to agree with her.

Eventually, all players will have access to the classes. True, there are only going to be two at first, but as players 'reach certain milestones', they will release more of the classes.

Play as a weak, unshielded enemy, capable of being fucked up by a single bullet finding it's mark, and likely suffering massive accuracy penalties for one-handing anything it uses.
