Yeah, the Promethean Knights appear to be what the Sangheili were in Halo CE, 2, and 3. Maybe a bit more advanced. The name might be a bit of a misnomer, though. Prometheans in the books were Warrior-Servants with exceptional ability. The Promethean Knights are AIs given bodies to fight with.

As for the 'dog robot things', they are called "Crawlers". They are described as being part wolf, part ant and are the most typical Forerunner AI enemy that you will be fighting in Halo 4.

I can't wait. Though I could use some extra funds. Preordered three games (Halo 4 being one, AC3 another) plan to preorder one or two more (FIFA and maybe Crysis 3) but I don't have the cash atm to cover them. I iz poor :(
