I don't play these games so I can't comment on gameplay hopes or anything, but my God, from what I saw in the trailer, I thought it was way past 2025. And since the guy talking at the beginning was talking in that year, I can only assume that the actual events of the game take place before 2025.

I do not think that military tech will be anything like that in less than 13 years. Yeah they had that video with the guys talking about how we're pretty much already there, but that's not really true. I know the rate of technological advancement is increasing pretty much daily, but come on, we won't be halfway to where it looks like we are in this game in decades, let alone 13 years.

That's my big qualm with it. And I don't have much more to say about it than that, since I don't play the games, and probably never will.

Do think it's funny how the fans can't make up their minds about whether or not they want repetition or revolution, though. I thought that the old complaint was that shit was getting too boring and redundant, but now the complaining is about how stupid this new idea is and how they should just go back to past wars.

Also there are plenty of WWII games out there so I don't understand why people crave more of them in particular.

I agree I heavily dislike futuristic tech-crap what have you. I might just get it for the cold war parts and for the story though. Definitely not getting this at its midnight premiere like I did with modern warfare 3, spending 60 dollars and almost falling asleep playing it. And the mall was close to a neighboring city that has alot of crime that shady people are probably buying a bunch of copies to sell for a ridiculous more amount that it would be, anyway you got my opinion leave me alone ahhh.

Last game I got at midnight was Mass Effect 3. And since I didn't get to the ending the first night I took it home, I was not at all disappointed.

Black Ops 2 is going to suck. I bet 97% of the people getting the game are just getting it for the zombies. I hate this new age shit. That's why I only stick to sports games and not FPS. Black Ops 2 will be like the Bay of Pigs invasion: quick and a failure. But mostly a failure.

Seems to short for a game with that storyline, unless you are thinking on the lines of chapters of each war like 2-3 missions of a chapter?

My Facebook status after seeing the trailer was "Fuck Treyarch, I'm not spending $60 for new zombies maps."

That statistic might be true, but it's more of the lines of

60% Zombies
39.9% Multiplayer
.1% Campaign

Also the fact that so many people commented "Just getting it for zombies" on the Youtube release trailer convinced me that the series is pretty much dead.

I mean if you have a significant amount of potential buyers only buying it for a loosely related facet of the game which, to my knowledge (and again I have not played these games and have only watched videos of gameplay on occassion) has nothing to do with the main campaign and is just a fun fabrication of its own, you know the series is dead.

Buying a war game for zombies, come on, utter shit.

Once again, what is actually new?

If you're asking for something new, get out of life. Nothing is new.

To me, it seems like Fallout, but without nuclear war or 50's music or beehive hair-dos

But Fallout is an isometric turn based RPG.

How is it at all like Fallout, aside from being a game with guns? Sure, there is some future tech, but there is no RPG element to it; it's a first person shooter, in a series known for it's linear plots, because that's how things work for most FPS games.

But Fallout is an isometric turn based RPG.

He meant Fallout 3/New Vegas, sweety. Almost no one remembers the good old days of Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics.
