So instead of a decent developer and franchise you want to take a relatively untested in the mainstream idea and smother it in shit.

Well. Call of Duty (in my opinion) has been ruined. Black Ops and MW3 were really successful, really fun games, but Black Ops 2 is going to suck. By now, we all have seen the trailer on youtube or TV. And from the looks of the trailer, it is Future Tech style game. It is robots and machines, how could they do this? It is too much like Halo! I mean, Halo is cool, but they can't fuse it with COD! They go from Cold War to somewhere around 2050? Jesus Christ... How could this happen?

Anyways, what is your opinion based on the Trailer?

I think cod had fallen big time, the last few games have been repetitive crap compared to some of the older gems, this one basically is them now rying to grab as much money as they can by ripping off sci fi and some old stuff, like the scene i saw about being chased on horseback through the desert by gunships... what film does that sound like i wonder. half the stuff they have in it now looks like halo equipment and vehicles as well as some quake based things like some of the aircraft.

Honestly, bitching about a game because the trailer shows it's different.

People did the same thing when CoD4:MW came out, thought it would suck, they tried it, most ended up loving it.

Some asked to go back to WWII, then they gave us the piece of shit that is CoD5:W@W.

Just cause it's in a different era doesn't mean it'll suck, it doesn't mean Call of Duty is dead, judge the game before you've even played it? Honestly... I like Halo anyway, a merger between the two sounds too badass for words.

At first I was kinda excited when I saw the trailer, it looks kinda cool, some weapons look futuristic, we've got drones, etc... But then I saw a guy holding an M16A1, and I lost all hope. I have a feeling there's gonna be a lot '47s involved too, I mean this is a CoD game.

Simple:He never blew up, we never saw him IN THE EXPLOSION, for all we knew, Kravchenk commited suicide, and Woods got out of the way just in time, maybe he let go of him mid-air and escaped? Who knows. Besides, intel in BO2 said he was the single occupier of the Hotel Hanoi in 1975.

Activision has always been the physcial manifestation of communism, but this game actually has a chance to redeem the series. It's going into a bold new setting instead of recycling old ideas for coin. This is something that should be encouraged. Gamers are too quick to brush off new ideas and then they complain that games don't innovate enough. Gee, wonder why?

Also, I don't see the connection between black ops 2 and Halo. Halo is a terrible game. This game does not seem terrible.
