Well. Call of Duty (in my opinion) has been ruined. Black Ops and MW3 were really successful, really fun games, but Black Ops 2 is going to suck. By now, we all have seen the trailer on youtube or TV. And from the looks of the trailer, it is Future Tech style game. It is robots and machines, how could they do this? It is too much like Halo! I mean, Halo is cool, but they can't fuse it with COD! They go from Cold War to somewhere around 2050? Jesus Christ... How could this happen?
Anyways, what is your opinion based on the Trailer?

Copy Cats?
In my opinion it was a forced game, made to satisfy everybody that didn't care much for MW3 but wanted a game to see what happened to our hero Alex Mason. Also Treyarch can(and most likely) will get charged for breach of contract with Infinity Ward. The contracts states that no Call of Duty title can have a post Vietnam style of game. So anything that involves current or near future elements of war can be seen as copyright infringement.
Characters
The game story mode is most likely broken, but I was pretty excited to see that Woods was alive, but with the date being 2025, he's pretty much a vegetable, I'm actually surprised he can talk. But, the main character looks like a boss, and have a slightly but obvious appearance of Mason. Maybe a son, or even a great nephew, I think both him and Mason somehow know each other. Another detail is, where the heck are Weaver and Hudson, both in my view was great characters.
Multiplayer
But one good thing I could say that will be mind blowing is the multiplayer, kill streaks that futuristic will be amazing, but most likely over powering.
Specialty
If it still have zombies, a bunch o little kids will jizz in their pants, and if it doesn't it will be the worst sold game in the Call of Duty series. I really hope that it has a special mission add-on like Spec Ops on the MW series.
Conclusion
In an overall view, the game will "suck" but hardcore black ops and MW3 fans will fall in love with it, then after the futuristic affect wears of it will be covered with dust lost in the memory of gaming.
