And sometimes you just can't help it. When you see something that great, and Pinkie Pie describes it in such mouth-watering detail, the thought centers just shut down. I know I'd have done the same in their position.

Dear Princess Celestia:
Even though I knew how much work Mr. and Mrs. Cake put into their cake
and even though I knew how important it was for them that it would be entered into the competition....
even though I knew how seriously Pinkie was taking the responsibility for getting it there safely, and how she had depended on me to help her get it there, proving that the Cake's trust in her was well-placed
I was a douchebag and ruined it. So much for the spirit of loyalty, generosity, and kindness.

So I'd put this episode in the top ten for this season.

Probably a duke of some kind.
Now that's cool.

All I know is that you're being a serious buzzkill and that everyone else (even Ameri) liked the episode.
But, hey, I guess having flawed characters who are able to make mistakes isn't that important, and a show about learning lessons on friendship should feature characters who are always perfect friends and never need to be taught a lesson about how to be better friends.

If I am being a buzzkill because I think the episode is flawed, that's your problem, not mine.
They even lied about it. "Hey, I don't even LIKE cake!" "Is it a crime to change one's style now and again?" And they all looked on silently when the others were being accused of it.
Yeah. Not really the lesson you should be teaching -- even if it was inadvertent.
