Well..

I'm not quite sure what to say, really. It's undeniably cute, and in some places genuinely funny, but I'm not sure I could go "brony". It certainly has its charm, and I come away from the experience with a little more understanding about it, but I doubt I'll become a fan. I may watch a few more, now that I have them, but I feel consciously aware that I am a grown man, watching a cartoon about magical ponies :p

I'd definitely suggest finishing the season. Not because I love the show, but because some of the best episodes came late in season 1. If you haven't seen Winter Wrap-Up, then you're really missing something. It wasn't the best, but it cemented my Brony-ness, so that's why I would recommend it to you.

For a person who hasn't seen the show before, I wouldn't recommend it as a first pick though.

And as for the 'grown man watching ponies' thing: I think most of us went through that stage, though for me it was fairly short because I'm more open to seeing 'girls' TV shows (I've got two little sisters).

If you have already watched 10 episodes and don't hate it, but in fact like it, then you are already in. As a heads up, the CMC will annoy you for a bit but you'll get used to them.

Also, season 2 is way better than season 1. It's just an accepted fact.

"The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."—former Nixon domestic policy chief John Ehrlichman

New episode was good.
Didn't suspect Fluttershy, Dash, and Rarity...I just suspected Dash. And yay me, I did notice Rarity wearing her over her eye.

They were clearly added for us, even. How in the world is some little kid supposed to get those references? Ninja movies were in their peak in the 80's, Bond in the 70's, and silent films haven't been relevant since the 20's. Those aren't exactly things kids born in the 21st century would get. :P
