We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Quantum Theory doesn't apply to them, as well as the Avatar.

Avatar Wikia wrote:Each nation has a method of recognizing the new Avatar. Among the Air Nomads, this involved presenting all infants with a selection of toys to play with, and watching for a child that selected four specific toys that had belonged to past Avatars, called the four Avatar relics. Traditionally, the child is told of their identity as the Avatar on their sixteenth birthday, however, Avatar Aang was told much earlier than this because of Fire Nation aggression, and Korra was discovered as the Avatar when she was still a little girl, when she was seen bending three elements without formal training.

The Air Nomads used toys, but we have no idea how the Fire Nation did it. Monks also told Roku, but that is customary in all nations with the Avatar. Aang was told by monks at age 12.

Also, an Avatar Acid Trip.

Useless fact: They decided to use toys as the way for the Avatar to be identified because the new Dalai Lama is found in a similar way.

We know a lot about Kyoshi, and the last Water Tribe avatar(who I bet will be making a few more appearances) in many ways, but not much about the last Air Nomad avatar. I'd like some more info on her.

Yeah, maybe they'd mention the unnamed lava-bender avatar. Because lava-bending seems pretty kickass to me, that bro deserves some recognition.

Maybe they are planning on doing more about previous avatars? Wouldn't that be nice? A whole franchise, being expanded on and whatnot.

Seriously, if they do not capitalize on it then I would be seriously disappointed. I want to see the first benders and the first avatar. Origin stories are always cool.

I would also like to see the series go into modern day. When I mean modern, I mean 2012 tech and whatnot. It would be so fascinating to see Korra (or the next avatar) function in a world with instantaneous communication and space travel. It seems so far from the steampunk setting (which I adore) that seeing something like it would be so foreign.
