It puts an interesting spin on why she's running away or whether she's running towards something, as the fight in the cage implied.

She didn't deal with anything. She just bitched and moaned, did her umpteenth installment of "Woe-ways me" acted like a dick and ran away.

She didn't run away to be a dick, she ran away because she feels that this is something she has to figure out on her own. She's not going on her own to be a bitch, or because she's 'having a pity party', but because she's searching for anything that can give her back her connection to Raava and her past lives. It's why she went to the Spirit World and tried to meditate in the Tree of Time, it's why she's wandering from place to place, it's why she's fighting in pit matches in some podunk swamp town. She's desperate.

And if it wasn't obvious, this "I need to do this alone" shit isn't the answer. But no. People are trying to help her, and she acts like everyone is out to get her. Then runs away and thinks cage fighting is the answer. So not only is she a selfish brat, she's an oblivious moron to boot.

I need to do this alone isn't the answer? There is no way you can know that. This is your own, personal opinion on how you feel the story should be told and it is utterly irrelevant to the validity of Korra winging this on her own. Assuming you're marginally correct and she needed the spirit and Toph's help, she wouldn't have found either if she'd stuck around and did things the way people trying to help her were doing it. Their care was genuine, but that doesn't mean what they were doing was helpful.

The reason she thinks cage fighting is the answer is because she's seeing that apparition. Whether it's real or not is immaterial; as far as Korra is concerned it's there. You calling her a moron is no different than bitching out a schizophrenic for hearing voices. And that attitude is seriously uncalled for.

Oh, and this next episode should be a giggle.
A blind swamp hermit, terrible parent and crooked cop (AKA Toph) is gonna give Avatar Whiny advice. That should be so bad it's hilarious.

A whole episode of Korra's pity-party bullshit and getting her ass handed to her by random shoplifters, hallucinations and being a dick to everyone trying to help her punk ass. I love how the writers think tossing Toph in there at the end makes it better.

Just...ugh.

She didn't deal with anything. She just bitched and moaned, did her umpteenth installment of "Woe-ways me" acted like a dick and ran away.

She repeated the point I've been making all week. Aang had his whole culture wiped out and he didn't turn into a selfish, mopey asshole about it.

And still the concept of trauma eludes you. You also do a lot of complaining for someone who apparently has a problem with bitching and moaning, so you know, pot and kettle.

I'm also going to repeat what I said earlier about Aangs reaction being and it is very silly to hold that up as how it should be handled. While also pointing out it wasn't something he experienced directly, so the two can't really be compared.

If they're alluding to it (fairly obviously) right now, how is it DEM? Not to mention, you have literally no idea how quickly this problem is going to be resolved, and no clue as to what end it will go to.

Jesus Christ, you even fabricate problems to complain about. You should stick to incessantly whining about how Korra isn't an exact copy of Aang with tits.

Yeah, I know the answer to her problems. Shame the writers apparently don't. At this point, they have be writing her as weak and whiny on purpose. Like some kind of stab at Nick for taking them off TV. It's the only logical answer.

First off, I don't think elucidate is a word.

Secondly, she doesn't have PTSD. She's a CARTOON CHARACTER. All it takes is some writer with a modicum of skill to pull her out of her nigh-endless streak of whining and losing. Like they did in season 3. Give me that Korra again.

Firstly, pot, meet kettle. Just like to clear that out of the way.

Secondly, what the hell are you talking about? Are cartoon characters not able to suffer from mental illnesses because...they're cartoons? Do you understand fiction at all and the nature of it?

Thirdly, your degradation of someone who has suffered from PTSD is worrying. Its not something you can just pop back from and starting winning again with. Just deal with that fact. Because expecting any sort of full recovery in any amount of time that works best for you shows minimal understanding of how these sorts of things work. It's not up to your personal preferences how Korra deals with it. Nor does it make your opinion of how she should any more valid either.

Lastly, again with the complaining about Korra's 'whining'. Pot meet kettle.

Korra doesn't have a frigging mental illness. Her personality is a bunch of lines written on a piece of paper. All we need is someone not totally incompetent to pick up the frigging pencil, and this show can end on a high-note. Not another repeat of season 1 and 2.

Korra doesn't have a frigging mental illness. Her personality is a bunch of lines written on a piece of paper. All we need is someone not totally incompetent to pick up the frigging pencil, and this show can end on a high-note. Not another repeat of season 1 and 2.

I'm asking, do you not understand fiction? Within the context of her fictional world, she presumably has some sort of mental illness, but you seem to be wanting to place her within the context of the completely irrelevant real world. Her context within the ATLA universe is what matters. Besides, this is what, episode 2? There's no reason not to believe the show won't end on a high note, unless you somehow know or realistically predict that the show will end on a low-note, which frankly I don't see any supporting evidence for that to happen.

Oh, BIasveck. I envy your optimism.

The writers on this show have screwed up time and time again. Korra fucked up in the first 2 episodes of season 2, and it was the worst season by far. And this is going to be no different, cause they tossed aside all her development again so we can get Season 1 Korra in the end.

This whole series was a letdown, and it's going to end as a letdown.
