I'm still annoyed that the new Megas didn't include Walrein and Flygon. Walrein could really use it effectively, Ice Body is unique and it could be a pretty successful wall if given the right treatment by a Mega Evolution. Flygon should have got one for storyline purposes. Could you imagine if Mega Flygon and Mega Salamence got a side-quest rivalry similar to Zangoose/Seviper, with a big post-game confrontation between the two megas? Now that would be cool.

I caught my first shiny in OR yesterday! it was a Geodude but I'm still pretty happy to find one so early. plus the color scheme is arguably cooler than the normal one.

right now I'm contemplating training it up to become one of my mains. I don't need it since I have Marshtomp which is easily superior, so I suppose I'll just store in the PC for the next decade.

Free shiny Beldum is cool as heck, thanks Game Freak.

ikr? since Beldum's a steel-type and comes with Hold Back I always use it to catch new Pokemon.

Desolate Land is seriously OP when you're facing an enemy who only uses water pokemon. His second pokemon (Milotic) took out my first four but Groudon didn't take a single hit from any of his mon before I stack-wiped his team with fire plum and earthquake.

Pfft, what a noob. Using legendaries to beat your opponents.

Legendary pokemon are like collectible action figures. You're supposed to get them because they're rare, but then you're never supposed to take them out of the box.

I feel sort of the same. In the game I hate using items, legendaries, or Mega Pokemon unless the opponent does as well (or am usually suppose to like in X/Y after you catch the legendary) and try not to use more items then them. Otherwise the game is too easy, same reason I don't use the exp. share.

the issue now is actually catching it. I have it down to like 5 HP but it still fails even the first shake check. That damn 3 Catch Rate.
And because it's so damn powerful I only have a handful of moves before it wipes out my team. When I caught Thunderous in Black 2 I just sat for an hour and a half burning through over 75 ultra balls before I finally caught it because I could. Can't do that now.

Deoxys I KO'd on the first go, and didn't care enough to go back for it. I figure I'll borrow my friend's quickly for the 'dex entry and send it back.

Deoxys I KO'd on the first go, and didn't care enough to go back for it. I figure I'll borrow my friend's quickly for the 'dex entry and send it back.

The deoxys thing was a bitch, because you had no opportunity to save in between that and rayquaza. So the first time, I used the master ball on rayquaza, then got sent up into space, and accidentally killed deoxys. *sighs* Turned the power off, went through the whole tower again (didn't save right before rayquaza), caught the dragon with an ultra ball, and nabbed doexys with the master ball. What an ordeal.

Ben, I'd recommend paralyzing Ho-oh (I think you can get the thunder wave tm somehow) and using a couple of intimidate mons. Just switch back and forth between them, and with lower stats, it'll be easier to catch.
