So people, we're only days away from the ORAS release date, which for me is awesome but a little annoying. Annoying because I'll be out of town that day with no way to get a physical copy myself. I could download it, but I strongly want a physical copy. I'll have to just let someone from my family get it and then wait until Sunday to play.

Thanks to Smogon, I can already tell the Mega Pokémon I'm going to most enjoy using, those being Altaria, Sceptile, and Gyarados (Crunch+Mold Breaker Taunt is just lovely). It's nice to be near another release, especially of my favorite region, but also weird because to me it doesn't feel like the X/Y release was that long ago (even if it was really over a year).

Apparently IGN gave ORAS a 7.8 because of "Too much water", but they gave RS a 9.5.

I'm (probably) getting OmegaRuby tomorrow.

Also, since I haven't done much research on the games yet, do the games incorporate gen 4-6 pokemon, or do they have an alternate method (like the radio stuff in HGSS or postgame areas in BW) to get the newer pokemon?

Hopefully the latter, that way we won't have wade through all the crappy new ones during the initial playthrough.

Also... Why they announce very single new mega before release? I was expecting a few to be left to be actually discovered by playing the game.
(I was holding my heart out for Bug/Psychic Mega-Butterfree or even Mono-Ghost Mega-Shedinja.)
