You're 26 and your first games were gen II? Got a late start, eh?

I agree. Let's just say there's a reason Gen III won't get a remake. The united states of Saints wrote:Which gen was the worst one in Pokemon? my vote is gen five. I just couldn't accept it as a Pokemon game but I still completed it because I stick with something once I start it. I still don't know why I hated it I just do
I actually quite enjoyed five. I got Blue the winter it came out in the States; there was a certain wonder about playing through the adventure without the meta and without *knowing* three-quarters of the game's monsters, plot, and format before the game was released. The secrecy about Gen V's release did about as much as it could to recapture that element, and I appreciated it for that.
Gen IV blows porpoise cock.

But at the same time I'm only just scratching the surface of Gen VI; what sort of markedly specific hints are there?

Gen IV was the worst, I think? Overblown plot, and more or less a wholesale shift of Gen III to a dual screen format. I'm playing Gen VI right now on dual screens, and I like it a whole lot more.
meanwhile - Protean Greninja, y/y? It's ridiculous.
) In addition, while dragons are the strongest things on earth, these pokemon are from outer space, so it would make sense if the beat dragons. I know that most of the re-typing would come from Psychic types, but there wouldn't have to be too many re-done pokemon. What are your opinions on the topic?

I dunno. I like Gen IV, though I am almost certainly 99% biased due to Pearl being my first Pokemon game. I liked the mythology element to it, and I thought the graphics were an improvement (not large, mind you) from Gen III. FR/LG and Black and White were probably my favorite games. The biggest complaint about X and Y I have is the complete overhaul of the graphics, which I now despise. There was nothing wrong with the original style! Why, Gamefreak, why?
Also, what do you guys think of the Fairy type? Was it necessary to balance out Dragon? Does Fairy actually do its job? Could something else have been the new type instead of fairy? Personally, I feel that:
A: Dragon was OP
B: In theory, Fairy is now OP, due to being weak to about 6 viable moves, but in actuality, almost all Fairy-types suck, so it doesn't matter. Dragon still rocks.
C: I had two ideas for this one. Firstly, Sonic/Sound-type, which would include pokemon like Exploud and Chatot. However, almost all the retyped pokemon and moves would come from the Normal type, so it wouldn't really feel like a new type. Secondly, the Cosmic type. We could retype pokemon and moves like the Clefable line, Deoxys, Jirachi, Lunatone/Solrock, Cosmic power (we could still even have moonblast.) In addition, while dragons are the strongest things on earth, these pokemon are from outer space, so it would make sense if the beat dragons. Breeding parents 31/31/31/31/31/31 and 31/31/x/31/31/31, with a 0.0073% modifier,

Chance of hatching Goal within X number of Eggs:
Eggs...Chance

But if you try sometimes,
you just might find,
you get what you need.
And what I needed was Mewtwo X as a respectable mega-counterpart to the fetal abomination that is Y.
Remember when those images of it came out before any of us knew what mega-evolution was gonna be? How worried everyone was that Pokemon had finally and utterly been destroyed?
