My favorite is G1 and G2 to some extent. My interest kinda died after G2.
Played only G1 (completed) and G2 (never went past Goldenrod City) on pc with emulator. In Pokemon Red I have every pokemon except Tauros, Kangaskahn and the ones that are impossible to get without trading.

Right, so the last Pokemon game I played was Heartgold... and I didn't even finish it!

My life has been work, work, work so far. Mostly because of Midterms, round 1 and Midterms, round 2. Round 1 was spaced out so nicely that it bled into round 2. Great! /sarcasm.

Back to the topic at hand though, I've been looking for something I can play at my own pace. Then I realized... POKEMON! I haven't played it in a while, so I was wondering...

How ARE the new games? Good, bad, alright? Anything I should expect? Anything I should be aware of, like 3v3 battles (I think I heard something about that). I also heard there was now diagonal movement... is that true? Oh, and is there any way to bring pokemon over from previous generations of games? Like Peral/Diamond/Platimum/HeartGold/SoulSilver to Black/White and Black/White to Black/White 2, and so on?

My little sister got a 3DS, I should be able to play the newer games. I think my other sister got Pokemon X, so I'll probably get Y up to that point.

Gen 5(BW/B2W2)=Good
Gen 6(XY)=Awesome(Minus the shortness, but meh)

You can transfer Pokémon from gen 3 to gen 4, gen 4 to gen 5, I haven't completed X yet lol but I'm sure there's a way to transfer from gen 5 to gen 6.

I think you have to use the pokebank, a paid feature. (I could be wrong though, there might be some other way.)

You have to use Pokebank and Poketransfer to get pokemon from Gen. 5 to Gen. 6

Thundurus looks pretty cool, with his spiked ball tail in 3D. If you want, you can just go to Showdown, they have all the sprites in 3D now.

I was almost hoping Serena would have an interest in Ash, considering when the trailer for the new season came out, I was surprised at what seemed to be a childhood friend kind of thing. But then again, it is a kid's show where Ash will be perpetually be forced to leave the region's token characters behind... (I can't forgive Brock's departure, even if some of his shenanigan's were sort of old).
