This is weird, but I'm here asking for advice instead of giving it.

Basically I've started again on Heart Gold, I've just beaten Whitney and my current team is
Crocnaw
Onix
Fearow
Kadabra

What do you guys think I should put into the other two slots on my team?

Not Mareep, anything but it.
Sorry I tried using it on my first run through of Heart Gold and i don't really like it.

Also I've gained a Growlithe and after PP stalling Morty's Gengar with Fearow and an awesome battle against Chuck I now have 5 badges.

Use sludge bomb or a steel type move.

Although my xerneas is secretly a dragon type apparently XD.

Also want to know how many Pokemon learn poison or steel type moves? A good number of them. Flash cannon is a good one to use. Get a dial a or even steelix (tank those fairies) and flash cannon them to death.

That's rather out-dated now. My team currently consists of
Feraligatr
Growlithe
Onix
Fearow
Kadabra
Dragonair

Yes that Dragonair has Extremespeed. Also the only reason why I don't have a Steelix, Alakazam and Arcanine is because I don't have anyone to trade with, and I can't find a fire stone to evolve my Growlithe.
