Well, since it seems like this forum is fucking dead, I might as well make it official, eh? I've been checking in everyday hoping to see some shred of activity, but nothing has happened in the past three months, so fuck it. I'm done being disappointed. Time to say farewell to this colossal failure of a forum.

Yes, I could post content, and I did. In fact, I posted literally one third of all the content on that site. However, when there was no one around to respond, it was like trying to have a conversation in an empty room. There's no point in having a forum when you're the only active member.

Well, the other generations might be a bit superior overall, but I think second gen was by far the biggest improvement. Third gen didn't have many additions I really cared for. Second gen had a lot of good pokemon put in the mix.

second gen was basically a big fix for first gen because it fucking sucked and was glitchy and shit. third gen improved on that more with better graphics, more pokemon, more items and moves, an amazingly rich Berry system (one of my favorite things by the way), the Battle Frontier, and having console games which allowed you to catch Ho-oh and Lugia (even if the actual games were kinda shit). Fourth and fifth look alright but I haven't been able to play them because I don't have a computer, I have a brick with USB ports.

The only experience I've had with gen2 is an old Gold version that doesn't save and about 15 minutes on a crystal emulator.

At first I loved the third generation games, but then I slowly started to despise them. I think it's because we were just stuck with Generation III for what seemed like forever.

I had Sapphire for a good long time. Though, I just sort of forgot about it. Seriously, I can name a shit-load of pokemon, except third generation. It's just a big blank now... Which is weird. My only memory was catching Kyogre with an Ultra Ball...

GSC are fine games. As mentioned, they fixed the big issues that RBY had. I find GSC visually pleasing, and consider Johto to be a nice region. Also I think GSC may well have the best music in the series.

They are, however, not without their flaws. As I understand it competitive play is ridiculously stallish, the NPC Pokemon levels don't rise anything like fast enough, and the rendition of Kanto is infamous for being squashed. And of course the graphics aren't as fancy as the newer games.

Before I stopped playing, the most memorable pokemon I had was a Clefable for Leaf green

The Clefable was level 89 and had the moves, Psychic, Secret Power, Barrier, and Hyper Beam

It was named Fluffy

the highest leveled pokemon I raised was a Porygon raised it to Level 67 on leafgreen and to Level 81 on Diamond...
