Probably the best moment of the whole series was in 2, where Shepard headbutts the shit out of that one Krogan.

I've had enough of your disingenuous assertions.
we, unlike the bourgeoisie, have nothing to lose and therefore our expression will be the only honest one, our words will be the only challenging ones and our art will be the one revolutionary expression. We need new noise and new voices and new canvases to become something more than the last poets of a useless generation.

Edited by the author of this post due to multiple points.

Okay, back up, I think there might have been a misunderstanding and more than one or two assumptions along the way.

I'm not defending the whole asari as window dressing thing, that is blatant fan-service. I mentioned Samara in particular as a compelling character not because of her digital cleavage but her station in life, her whole story from ME2. The very notion of a warrior monk of some kind that was duty-bound to track down and kill their own progeny, compelled by the danger Morinth posed to others as well as the code itself. It was made even more compelling in ME3 when her daughters displayed the same sort of will but focused it against the Reapers rather than for their own self-interest. That focus, that drive, that is what drew me to Samara as a character, not the impractically plunging neckline or tight red leather-esque outfit.

In fact that's the whole point. The Paramour options aren't perfect but then again they're not the entire point of the series now are they? They're a wrinkle in the entire tale of an exceptional figure in human history (in the future) rallying fellow outcasts rebels and others like he or she to take on impossible odds. That compelling tale plus the uniquely tight and fluid gameplay and control is why I personally bought ME 1 2 and 3, not for the expensive version of buying dolls and smacking them together in compromising positions or any other kind of window dressing. I'd like to think it's the same reason why most fans bought the games in the first place but then again I can only speak for myself after all.

As far as female gamers go, I'm not saying they don't deserve support from everyone else, I wholeheartedly agree. However the women need to lead the way on this one, not for any altruistic reason but to hammer out the differences of opinions and actually get some suggestions out in the open. Rather than simply be contented to hem and haw about what they don't like, those who make the arguments should have some sort of remedy in mind as well.

Grunt still has the best moments in the game. You get to see the Normandy's tank baby all grown up and kick some serious ass. Then after taking out several Ravagers and presumably falling to his demise inside the caves, only to re-appear, covered in all sorts of foulness and in need of some fuel of some kind but still alive and kicking. Definetely a series of "aww" and "Noooo!" and "Yesss!" moments.

And of course Grunt gets the best line in the entire game.
"I don't need luck. I have ammo."

Now I might be biased because my favorite weapon is the Revenant, and my solution to any problem is MOAR DAKKA!, but I digress, this is Grunt we're talking about here. The same Grunt that when fully leveled up stampeded more than a few collectors in the end run of ME2

Bah! Precision semi-auto is for point and click game fans. Commander Shepard has a galaxy to save, so just flip that Revenant to Incendiary and mow down all who dare to stand in your way in a hailstorm of flaming ultra-high-speed sand particles!

I always found the Revenant to be like a squad support weapon, not very accurate but'll convince a guy to keep his head down.

I prefer the Phaeston. It's accurate to a point, fires quickly but doesn't eat ammo too fast, and packs a punch without sacrificing capacity.

I don't know if this is just insanity or not, but regardless of the sniper, I can't get one hit kills through shields any more. That an insanity only phenomena, or should I move to the semi-auto snipers?

I think it's because of insanity bumping up shields and health. Go for semi auto and see if that improves your situation. I can't see why it wouldn't.

Yeah, I've been using the N7 Sniper - the one that's a cross between the Mantis and the Viper. It's pretty good, and I can usually take down Marauders in 2 shots, same as the single shot ones, and weaker enemies in one headshot. Something like the Javelin or the Widow is really just overkill, but it wouldn't be if damage bled through, which is why it annoys me. It's almost as annoying a downgrade as the Sentinel's now semi-useless Tech Armour.
