Best Religious/Historical Quotes?

Now I'm not very religious, I think that some of the things in the bible are crap written to keep certain people in their place. But there are a lot of wise words found in that thick block. Let's share them with each other!

Also, if you've got some things from other religious books, like the Kuran, for example, feel free to share them.

Here's my list.

Matthew 6:5 ""When you pray, don't be like the hypocrites who love to pray publicly on street corners and in the synagogues where everyone can see them. I tell you the truth, that is all the reward they will ever get."

Matthew 16:26 "For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and lose his own soul?"

Deuteronomy 24:14 "Do not take advantage of a hired man who is poor and needy, whether he is a brother Israelite or an alien living in one of your towns."

James 1:27 "Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you."
