Where I live now, I've lived at for 6 1/2 years, the longest I've ever lived in one place, and I'm only 17. Before that the record longest was 2 years.....kinda sad.

Also: Post-Rock fans should check out Pg.Lost. Pretty good band.

Eh, I am not into Death, but I am trying to get into Doom. I haven't heard too much, but what I have heard is interesting enough.

Most of them are. Tyler can't write lyrics, Earl can't either, Left Brain makes good beats, Jet Age of Tomorrow makes good trip hop, I like Frank Ocean, Mellowhype and Hoodgy beat's solo work.

The rest are comedy fags who are overly-obnoxious.

You mean death doom crossover or the individuals? Katatonia are good.

Argh, my copying keeps doing that, where I click on it and it doesn't actually copy it . What'd I send you? The River Tam Sessions video I was looking at earlier or something?...

Edit: Also, edited in the right link...I hope.

Make sure to look into bands with Scott Weinrich, like St. Vitus and The Obsessed. A lot of Maryland/Virginia area Doom bands are good too.

I think drone metal is my favorite genre of metal. I'm not a fan of most metal, so. I've known the Asva song since ages ago, from my dad. I only just discovered Sunn O}}} a few weeks ago.

Death/doom is pretty great. Some of my favorites are My Dying Bride, Paradise Lost, Novembers Doom, Winter, Amorphis and Swallow the Sun.
I've heard good things about Runemagick so I'll check out there stuff later.

Sigur Ros are kinda boring and uninspired. They're not really post-rock, either, they barely share traits with anyone else in the genre besides ambient style guitar work, but then Grouper would be post-rock and she's definitely ambient.

First Wave bands and those most influenced by them tend to be more interesting and inspired, like Tortoise, Grails, Slint, Henrytennis, and PVT. Probably missing a few, Shora might be able to be grouped in there somehow. Second wave is great, too, if a bit standardized, if that makes sense. It's basically what people expect from post-rock. Then you have third wave twinklecore shit.

Sigur Ros is my favorite post-rock band of all-time, and EITS and GIAA are up there as some of my favorites. They were moreso when they were like, well, the only 3 post-rock bands I exactly knew. But now I've started to really dig Pg.lost, The Evpatoria Report, and Sleepmakeswaves, but I'd say at least some of Explosions in the Sky and God is an Astronaut are up there. Though, there's a few great songs from For A Minor Reflection too....so I really don't know.
